Thanksgiving 2016

Friday, November 25, 2016

"Oh Lord, my God I will give thanks to you forever!"

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
The boys both shared what they were thankful for in church for 'open mic' time-"family and friends" for Gray, and "friends" for Sadler! Such brave boys, so proud of them!

I made my first turkey, and we hosted 24 of Robb's extended family for Thanksgiving dinner.

Sadler entered into a turkey coma, a sure sign of a succesful meal!

In the evening we went to my parents house for a little supper and some fun with the wii

We are so truly blessed.

Hope you all had a wonderful day as well.

Robb and I had our 3rd annual "Lubbers Hungry Games" cooking competition a few weeks ago. Our mandatory ingredient was spinach.

Robb made a yummy spinach stuffed chicken.

and I took home the trophy this year, with sun dried tomato and spinach chicken spaghetti

So thankful to be celebrating 8 years post transplant on October 8

Jovie wanted to pose by the pumpkin :)

snuggly selfies

a Friday afternoon playdate with Sadler's "old" friends from preschool.
I was sick that day, but so thankful Robb was able to take them to the park for the playdate.

He sent me lots of pictures and videos.

putting on a show in the amphitheater

such a sweet daddy!

All dressed for church, she thought she looked "so handsome" #lifewithbrothers

afternoon coloring session

I've been doing a weekly bible study with my friend Anne, from Alabama, so blessed by our conversations, even many miles apart!

play date with Zuree!

Corn maze fun at New Salem Corn Maze for family night put on by the boys' school.
Unfortunately, Jovie was the only child we didn't lose in the corn! Yikes!

Sadler did not go unfazed by the incident, and made sure I was always nearby for the rest of the night! It was kinda cute, and I was glad he learned his lesson not to take off without mom and dad, no matter how excited you are to be with friends.

enjoying some donuts and cider once everyone was located again!

This one is experiencing some pretty significant separation anxiety. She was so upset when I dropped her off at her "K-Life" class so she sat with me and listened to a speaker for the morning.

my "PJ Masks" (TJ Maxx) shopping buddy!

It was week late, and we had 3 kids join us, (one who had 6 trips to the potty) but we're so grateful to celebrate 11 years of marriage together with dinner as a family.

Grayden got the Cool Kid Award at school. I just love this idea!

Lunch at Panera with Grandma R! Not the most flattering picture (sorry Jovie!) but my phone ran out of storage room right after this. #storyofmylife

Right to Life banquet, a night I always look forward to.

I got to help in Grayden's 2nd grade class last week with a pumpkin seed activity. Always fun to see him in his element.

their school pictures turned out SO cute! Such handsome boys!

I helped the 3 and 4 year olds' with a craft at Kid's Club on Wednesday night. Jovie must have inherited her grandma's crafting abilities, I was so impressed with her gluing skills ;)

I helped in this cutie pie's Kindergarten class for their harvest party on Thursday!

It also happened to be hat day, so I decided to participate in the event as well!

the 3 musketeers went to Grandpa and Grandma Rietman's house one Friday night while we were on a date, my mom sent us this cute picture of them with their cute craft!

Grayden stayed overnight and went to breakfast and work with my dad in the morning.

pumpkin painting fun with these cuties on a wild Saturday night!

when Meijer has Lara Bars 10 for $10 and the 11th free, I have to fight the urge not to buy them all!

this is November; soccer...

and short sleeves!

2nd grade math..so confusing to me, at least the student understands it!

His handwriting is better than mine, not even kidding!

celebrating a month of reading, and flu shots with Pizza Hut while daddy was working late.

I've been on the hunt for hair ties that keep my ponytail tight during my workouts, and finally found them! That's worth sharing ;)

I just finished this book, for the second time. If you haven't read it at least once, you're missing out. It's my favorite "Christian living" book.

Sunday naps!

Had a great night out with these lovely ladies, and their other halves at Dave and Busters.

they found the Halloween candy!

She said, "I'm going to read you this book called "Bear On My Head"" ha!

she was a little concerned about the election when we went to vote

obligatory voting selfie ;)

Biggby with Cousins.
