{Favorite Things Party}

Last week I hosted the 8th Annual Favorite Things Party! As always, we had such a great night; awesome gifts, yummy food and great fellowship with some of my dearest friends! 




A recap on how it works:
Everyone took 3 of the same of their favorite things for $10 or less along with an optional favorite appetizer or dessert. 

When it was time for the exchange everyone took turns to show their favorite thing that they brought, and explain to everyone why they like it.
 I then drew names one at a time out of a bowl, once your name was called it was your turn to go up and choose a favorite thing from the table. We did 3 rounds of that so each girl went home with 3 new favorite things!

Me: Snapware glass food storage containers 

Emily: Tease Me hair product and gold eye mask

Heather: Hilltop products, TJMaxx gift card and tote bag

Lisa: french press

Stefanie: knock knock pads and leather earrings 

Mindy: Foaming hand soap and blanket scarf

Trisha: car vent essentail oils diffuser

Marcie: Leather earrings and Febreeze car vent air freshener

Jessica: leather earrings and peanut butter m&m's 

Lyndsey: French press

Favorite Things Party

Last week I hosted the 7th Annual Favorite Things Party! As always, we had such a great night; awesome gifts, yummy food and great fellowship with some of my dearest friends! 
A recap on how it works:
Everyone took 3 of the same of their favorite things for $10 or less along with an optional favorite appetizer or dessert. 

When it was time for the exchange everyone took turns to show their favorite thing that they brought, and explain to everyone why they like it.
 I then drew names one at a time out of a bowl, once your name was called it was your turn to go up and choose a favorite thing from the table. We did 3 rounds of that so each girl went home with 3 new favorite things!





Here's what we brought:

Me: All the necessities for a relaxing detox bath--a bag of Epsom salts with a few drops of Eucalyptus oil added, Bigelow Lemon & Ginger + probiotic tea, and a Eucalyptus candle 

 Trisha: Her favorite books--"If You Only Knew" "You Are Free" and "Uninvited"

 Jessica: The Green Glove Dryer

 Amanda: goodies from The Vintage Stop; a wire basket and canvas tote

 Val: round beach towel

 Emily: Amika dry shampoo and texture spray

Mindy: Dr. Teals Epsom Salts (Lavender or Coconut Oil) and Batiste dry shampoo 

 Lisa: Spongelle body buffer sponge and Mango Diet Coke

 Marcie: Gold Bond healing foot cream, pedicure kit and nail polish 

 Rochelle: warm liner socks (perfect for wearing booties in the winter) (from Target) and Moroccan Oil Lotion 

 Lyndsey: Pink Himalayan Salt Lamp

Last night was the 6th Annual Favorite Things Party! As always, we had such a great night; awesome gifts, yummy food and great fellowship with some of my dearest friends! 
A recap on how it works:
Everyone took 3 of the same of their favorite things for $10 or less along with an optional favorite appetizer or dessert. 

When it was time for the exchange everyone took turns to show their favorite thing that they brought, and explain to everyone why they like it.

Me: Stainless steel water bottle (from Menards) and a Peanut Butter Cookie Larabar
Heidi: Healthy Foot Cream with "Valor" YL Essential Oils added in
Val: Essie gel couture nail polish and top coat
Lisa: chevron lightweight blanket
Lyndsey: C.C knit beanie hat
Emily: EOS shave cream and hand lotion
Heather: SavvyCents 24 slot card holder for gift cards, rewards card, etc with a Panera gift card inside
Jessica: leather cuff/wrap bracelets with interchangeable charms (from Michaels)
Mindy: a double layer necklace and makeup brush cleaning trey with cleanser
Rochelle: a 20 minute mask, beauty blender, Plexus drink packet

Favorite Things 2016

Last night was my FIFTH annual Favorite things party!
It just never gets old, it seriously is one of the highlights of my year!



For those of you who are new to the idea, here's a little recap:

Everyone took 3 of the same of their favorite things for $10 or less along with an optional favorite appetizer or dessert. 

When it was time for the exchange everyone talked about their favorite thing that they brought and told everyone why they liked it. I then drew names one at a time out of a bowl, once your name was called it was your turn to go up and choose a favorite thing from the table. We did 3 rounds of that so each girl went home with 3 new favorite things!

Here's what everyone took:



Val: a gift card to Fris downtown Holland to create a custom poster/wall hanging (One of the things I chose to take)

Heather: A variety pack of her favorite ink pens, post it notes and flags, and chapstick 

Marcie: 9x13 insulated casserole carriers

Lisa: fabric softener spray and make-up blender sponge 

Emily: wet brush 

Heidi: M salt (mixture of seasonings) 

Stefanie: infinity blanket scarfs

Trisha: Schwarzkopf hair products ( I chose the mousse) 

Anne: Anne wasn't able to come since she just moved to Alabama but she sent carbonated bubble clay face masks and joined us in spirit :) (another thing I chose)

Me: 3 pairs of earrings from Walmart, they're only $2.88 and super fun and unique options. 

Mindy: Six Sisters cookbook

Nicole: handmade, by her hubby, picture/card holder and peach rings

Lyndsey: fuzzy bath robes and chapstick

This past Saturday I hosted the 4th annual favorite things party! It's seriously my favorite day of the year! We have such a blast!



And the favorite things list includes:

Anne: make your own laundry detergent (borax, washing soda and falsnapha soap)
Marcie: variety pack of her fave hard ciders, beer
Lisa: Trader Joe goodies, peppermint green tea, and cookie butter (with graham crackers)
Mindy: Vanilla Caramel tea and variety tea pack and mug
Emily: sweet and salty popcorn mix and The Body Shoppe body wash
Heidi: Youngblood eyeliner (Salon Centric)
Lydia: Long beaded strand necklace and fuzzy socks

Such great variety!!

I hosted my third annual Favorite Things party last month. It was so fun once again!

A few of you asked me to share what everyone brought to my favorite things party, and I would be happy to share!

I brought my favorite daily moisturizer. It's the up&up brand from Target. I use it everyday after I shower and before I put my make up on. It's oil-free, super light and blends in easily. I also love it because it treats and prevents breakouts! Less than $4 at Target!  Along with that I gave Aussie "3 minute miracle" deep conditioning treatment, you can pick that up anywhere, Target, Walmart, etc for less than $3. I felt a little guilty being a hairstylist and promoting a non-professional hair care product, but you can't beat that price and it works wonders on dry, damaged hair.  And the smell...AMAZING!
My sister Lisa brought Diet Coke and coconut syrup to mix for an amazing tropical flavored drink. It's so delicious! You could also try it in coffee.
My sister Mindy brought a HUGE can of CHI hairspray, smells divine, it's one of the things I choose to get.
Anne brought large drying mat for dishes. A hot item for sure!
Angie brought a punch card for 3 Zumba classes, LOVE! And her favorite flavored water "ICE," and a pack of licorice.
Rochelle brought a jewelry organizer that hangs in your closet, another popular one! She ordered them from Amazon.
Heather brought Bath and Body Works 3 wick candles, a favorite of mine too!
Susanne brought personal hair trimmers for all your trimming needs!
Tricia brought "12 benefits" hair product, one of the things I received and also love it!
Pinterest loving, creative, Val brought a storage tub full of ingredients to make homemade cleaners with.  I snatched that up and can't wait to put the vinegar, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, etc to work!
Emily brought Redken 18 hairspray, I've loved that for YEARS, too!
Alyssa brought hand-held cheese graters and cross bracelets, another hot pick!
Lydia brought cupcake stands, so cute!
Heidi brought candles and reed diffusers, love a good smelling house!
Lyndsey brought large puzzles, perfect hobby for the Winter months!
Amanda brought adorable baskets for all your organizing needs! ;)


Such great finds, it was so hard to choose what to get when everything was so amazing!

It was a great night with some of my favorite people and our favorite things!

I then drew names one at at time out of a bowl, once your name was called it was your turn to go up and choose a favorite thing from the table. We did 3 rounds of that so each girl went home with 3 new favorite things!



Such a blast and I already can't wait until next year's party!

for over a year now I've been wanting to throw a ‘favorite things party’ and after weeks of anticipation the day finally arrived on Jan 14!
favorite people, favorite appetizers and desserts and 12 favorite things made for a super fun night!

each of my guests brought 3 of the same of one of their ‘favorite things’ to share with the group, the item had to be under $10 and had to be something you just couldn’t live without!

At the party I drew names to give each girl a chance to choose from the gifts, we did this for 3 rounds until each girl had 3 of someone else’s favorite things!
I was lucky enough to receive a scarf organizer/holder, body spray and new mascara!

we had a blast and i can’t wait to do it again!
