Dunes Harbor Camping Trip

Tuesday, September 24, 2019

We spent an amazing weekend camping at Dunes Harbor in Silver Lake August 7-11.

We were off to a rocky start with an awful car ride of misbehavior from these three, so they were ordered to spend the remainder of the evening in the camper with bread and butter for lunch. Thankfully things turned around and we had a great time enjoying delicious food, fellowship with friends and relaxing by the campfires!

morning snuggles, balm to my soul!

fun in the dunes!

Sadler scored the winning touchdown in a campground football game!

morning fishing with dad

we took a beautiful kayak ride around the campground

fresh veggies on the grill, nothing better!

late night fried food is one of my favorite Dunes Harbor traditions!

The next morning we worked off our fried food with a 4 mile bike ride

 Beautiful beach day

homemade donuts were a hit once again!

a great week with great friends!

Hungry Horse Camping Trip (June 23-28)

Sunday, June 30, 2019

We had a great week camping with friends once again!
We had a little rain and a lot of heat! We spent lots of time at the pool, the kids loved the hammocks, hanging out around the camp fire, and going on scavenger hunts!

Labor Day Weekend Camping Trip

Wednesday, September 12, 2018

We spent Labor Day weekend having one last hurrah camping!
We stayed at Oak Grove in our own home town.

We got to the campground Thursday evening after Sadler's soccer practice, got set up and had some time for a quick evening swim and some games in the camper before bedtime.

He's my kind of camper, reading with a snack :)

Robb had to work Friday, so we invited our friends, the Meiste's, to stay for the day and the guys came at night for a cookout!

Saturday morning we snuck in a quick bike ride, climb up Mt. Pisgah, and some fun on the beach playground before the rain came!

But first pancakes!

It rained for the majority of the afternoon, but we didn't let that stop our fun!

We enjoyed a hot dog roast thanks to Oak Grove

Saturday night we took a bike ride (9 miles round trip) to get ice cream!
The kids did awesome!

You can tell who carried the backpack by the sweaty outline on Robb's shirt! Ha!

Sunday was a great beach day! So thankful we got to do that in!

We took an evening bike ride to grab pizza and have a picnic on the channel

We ended our night with a bonfire with the Perdok family.

Monday morning we packed up the camper and headed to the annual Labor Day Truck Parade!

We had a great weekend! So thankful!
