Fashion Friday

Today's edition of Fashion Friday is featuring a few of my favorite finds from TJMaxx!

I love this long sleeve burnout tee, the color is so fun and its unlike anything else in my closet. It was $12.99 last Fall.I've had this scarf for awhile but I often wear scarves to dress up a plain white tee when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to fuss over my outfit. I love the multi shades of green! This was on clearence for $5.00!

I love this cardigan so much that I bought one in pink too! Its really light weight and perfect for Spring! $12.99


I was on a mision one day to find some longer tunic style tops to wear with my black skinny jeans and leggings to cover up my backside a little more and came home with the the next two tops. The gray one was $12.99 and the pink one was $14.99





Next week's Fashion Friday will be....shoe edition...mine and Grayden's! I'm so excited!

I've been watching the number of blog followers as it creeped up on 500 and decided it would be fun to do a giveaway to all the faithful blog readers I have once it got there!

I'll be giving away a flower pin like the one I have on here:

{this is the a horrible picture of me, but grayden looks cute brushing his 2 little teethers Easter morning and it shows the pin pretty well}

The flower is handmade by Robb's Aunt Shelley and I just took the pin and attached it to a headband that day. I've also worn it on my Spring jacket and as a way to dress up a boring sweater! Lots of options!

my baby boy is..WALKING!

I was totally shocked last week Wednesday night when Grayden suddenly took a couple steps from me to his daddy as we looked on in complete disbelief!! And since that night those couple steps increased to 8 to 12 to walking all over the place!
At story time last week I was telling another mom that Grayden seemed to have no interest in walking, he wouldn't even TRY to take a step without his chubby little hand gripped firmly around my finger, then today at story time that same mom watched Grayden wobble across the entire carpeted rug with that same shocked look on her face as we had! My how quickly things change in the life of a toddler!

Fashion Friday

I'm trying something new over here at When Hello Means Goodbye, hoping to break away a little bit from the "Mommy-blog" label ;)
Another love of mine is fashion, and although my wallet doesn't allow me to go out and buy all the latest and greatest trends I do like to shop! And I do so on a budget!

One of my fave stores is Marshalls, I went there yesterday and came home with these:

Such a fun addition to my wardrobe, so fun and springy and only $12.99!


This cute open cardi:

I'm thinking I will be getting a lot of great use out of this one, throw it over top of a cute tank on a cool summer night and your all set! Oh and it was only $12.99 as well!
I love the back, makes it so much more than just an open front cardigan!
Oh and these dark wash denim jeans I'm wearing are from Marshalls too, I got those a few shopping trips ago! $14.99
And another thing I love about Marshalls is that you can get a lot more than just clothes there!
I also picked up this beverage server that I had been wanting for a certain little boy's birthday party coming up!! $16.99 what a find!



We'll see how this new fashion friday goes, maybe it will be back for another edition next week! TJMaxx maybe?

Grayden Robert, you are 11 months old!

Grayden~ You turned 11 months old yesterday.

I know I tell you every day but you are growing WAY too fast! I've loved every single stage but right now you are just so much fun to be around, you are such a ham! Full of personality! Daddy and I love you so very much!


Here's what you've been up to:


~First of all we have some very exciting news! You said your first word last Monday and to my delight it was "mom-mom." Melts my heart! Then on thursady to even things out you started to say "dada"! So sweet!
~You have the most expressive little faces, you brought back your famous scowl that you had as a newborn. We love your big smiles and wide eyes the most!
~You play peek-a-boo all day long by hiding behing couches and chairs and popping backout! Funny boy!
~If you hear the word 'clap' even if its in the middle of a sentance you start to clap, you pick up on everything, I am amazed at your knowledge, your going to be smarter than me in no-time.
~You eat and eat and eat and eat. I don't think you ever get full. Last weekend we ate at Logans with G & G R. and you ate half a roll, carrot puree, rice, sweet potatoes, and cinnimon apples. WOW!


~We're slowly trying to wean you from your bottle but you LOVE it, so it might be awhile til you give those up!
~You sleep between 10-11 hours at night and take 2 naps most days.


~Your clothes range all over the place right now, you have some 6 months shirt and a couple of your jeans are 12-18 months.


~You wear size 3 diapers.

~You have 2 teeth.
~We've had a busy month and have gone to lots of play groups and storytimes! I love to take you to things like that and watch you explore new places and meet lots of new friends!






~We've been playing outside a lot this past month and you've been loving that!




Next month is the big '1' we can't wait to celebrate your first birthday with you!

Easter 2010

Our little stud muffin!

Grayden's Easter Basket!

Inside was, a big stuffed lamb that "baa's", a little Easter book, puffs, a little rubber ducky family, little water sponge basketballs and a Baby Be Blessed lamb

We originally wanted to give him the BbB lamb for his adoption day but it just finally arrived a few weeks ago so we added it to his Easter basket instead! It was so worth the wait!
His says: Grayden Robert
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9.
We hope he keeps the verse tucked away in his heart for years and years to come!

Easter Dinner! Grayden couldn't get enough to eat, he had ham, mashed potatoes, a roll, asparagus and a bottle to wash it all down!
We went outside to watch the big kids hunt for eggs and Grayden practiced his walking skills!








Always in our hearts; we dearly miss our sweet Brenham boy. After church we stopped by the cemetery to drop off his little Easter lamb. The Easter egg is from Grandpa and Grandma R.
