SB '17 {Disney Wonder Days 1 & 2}

Our time to board finally came around 11:30!

We went right to Triton's for lunch, where we met our servers Lodion and Patrick.

Happy girl with her favorite meal; grilled chicken breast with A1!

After lunch we hit the pool deck, changed into our suits and got this boy his first of countless (not even kidding he had SEVERAL a day!) ice cream cones!

We had some fun swimming, went to the mandatory muster drill, and had a Sail Away deck party at 4:30 as we left Port Canaveral.

We went to check out our room and get ready for dinner around 5:00. We did the first seating dinner at 5:45

Disney does a rotational dining service so we rotated between the three restaurants on board. The first night we ate at Triton's. They had an "Under the Sea" inspired dining room, with lots of seafood on the menu! Grayden tried escargot (snails) and loved it! 'Atta boy!

The kids love to dance, so they never missed an opportunity to get their groove on :)
You'll notice they don't get their moves from me ;)

After dinner we went to the show "The Golden Mickey's"
The boys were asked to be Snow White's Dwarves, which was such a memorable experience for them!

Jovie fell asleep during the show, like she did every other night, so we all went back to our stateroom to crash!

This was our room transformed after turndown service.

Monday morning we woke up in Nassau, Bahamas!

We docked right next to the Oasis, which was the ship Robb and I were on for our 10 year anniversary. It was fun to show the kids just how massive it really is!

We went to the buffet for breakfast

And then went to the "Frozen Meet and Greet" where we met Anna and Elsa.

We enjoyed the ship being a little less crowded while most of the guests were exploring the Bahamas.

We got off later in the day just to snap a couple pictures in front of the boat.

We had dinner at Animators Palate, the menu was French inspired, and they had a fun interactive show for us at the end of dinner.

The show that evening was a Frozen Musical, it was incredible, one of the main highlights of our trip!
Our little Elsa was pooped out!

That wrapped up our second day....more to come

SB '17 {Journey to the Disney Wonder}

Sunday, April 9, 2017

We just got back from a fabulous Spring Break trip. We surprised the kids with a Disney Cruise that we'd booked over a year ago, it was a hard secret to keep, and stopped in Kentucky on our drive back home to visit the Ark Encounter.

We left at 3:00am Friday morning to start our drive (our plan was 4:00am, but Robb and I were so excited we couldn't sleep, so we got a head start!)
The ship didn't leave until Sunday, but we wanted to give ourselves lots of time to get there to break up the long drive.
way to go Robb, keeping your eyes on the road!

I packed breakfast, lunch and lots of snacks in hopes of making as few stops along the way as possible, but alas, we had a (false alarm) potty stop about 3/4 of the way through Indiana. :)
It was nice to stretch our legs and top off the fuel tank, too!

We got to Dalton, GA around 1:45 where we had a hotel booked.

We found a couple of great parks for the kids to play in and burn some energy, grabbed dinner at O'Charley's and got to bed early.

And leave it to me to get an injury on a road trip! I had to ice a pulled muscle in my shoulder that I got from passing a sucker back to a kiddo behind me in the van, oye! :)

We left again at 7:00am Saturday morning after grabbing a quick breakfast at the hotel to take on the go. The whole time leading up to the trip we had only told the kids that we were going to the Ark, so they were very shocked, and it total disbelief when they got this surprise phone call later that morning (perfect timing as we were stuck in traffic at the time) from Mickey and Minnie welcoming them aboard!

Saturday we drove to Ocala, Florida and got to our hotel around 3:00pm
The kids enjoyed some time at the pool, we had dinner at Zaxby's and relaxed in our room until bedtime.

Sunday morning was cruising day! We had another 2 hours to drive to Port Canaveral.

We got to the port around 8:30am and got a great view of the Disney Wonder!

We had to wait awhile to board.
We did our best to keep busy with the help of Mickey and Goofy, and the time went by quickly.

I had to get in some social media time while I could :) We were unplugging once we set sail!

We were on the ship by 11:30 and ready to start sailing!

....more to come....
