Friday night our little hometown was hit with a HUGE storm. The three of us were doing some shopping at Wal.mart and half way through our shopping trip we heard rain falling down HARD on the rooftops, so we knew right away that we were going to be getting very wet!
This is a picture I took out the car window on our way home!
Water was everywhere, all over the roads and the fields were turning into small lakes. We got home and changed into some dry clothes and watched as the storm continued to roll through.....it was crazy! Around 10:00 we lost power, that was interesting to say the least. With a newborn at home and no way to warm up bottles we realized just how lucky we are to have electricity! Thank you Benjamin Franklin (glad I decided to google that; I first typed Thomas Edison!)
Here are some more pictures from the next morning.

as you can see there has been a lot of damage here in the last few days. Luckily for us the worst of it was 24 hours without electric but as you can imagine many weren't so fortunate. Please be in prayer for the families dealing with losses and damage.

Wow! Thats awful. I live down state near Jackson and we had some bad storms, but not that bad! Glad you guys are okay!
Glad to hear everyone is okay! That would be interesting with a newborn, when he's older he'll think losing power is an adventure:)
Oh my goodness! I heard about that storm and I'm so glad u are safe!
Oh no, I hope that you guys didn't get too much damage. Happy Father's day to your hubby btw!!
Wow! A lot of water got dumped! I pray everyone stays safe!
I'm glad you guys were safe. I heard their was three tornadoes in Michigan. How crazy!! Yep, and no power with an infant is no fun.
Glad you didn't have things any worse than no power! Hope you all had a great Father's Day in spite of the storms. :)
I was playing in a softball game when it started to down poor...we got soaked! Glad to hear that you made it home safe!
Things like that really make you appreciate the convenience of modern technology, don't they?
Glad you all are OK!
Wow, how terrible. I'm glad to hear that the electrical outage was the worst of what happened to you!
We went through the same thing when Cole was just 1 week old. Andi it was in late October in the Northeast so I was most worried about keeping my little lovebug warm!
