Apple Picking!

Tuesday, September 20, 2011

Friday morning my sister and I along with mom and the kiddos went to Cranes Orchard to pick apples with our Moms In Tow group.

It was a perfect day and we ended up picking 16lbs of apples in no time!

Home made applesauce. And how great it tastes when the snow flys. My daughter loved it when she could take it out of the freezer and eat it when it was still 1/2 frozen...Oh to go back to those High school days when I did lots more cooking then I am doing the past few years.

Looks like fun! I'm intrigued by how you girls have those slings on. What kind are they, and how do you put it on to wear the baby like that? I've really only used my sling with a newborn hold. :)

Since we made the Applesauce for the babies we didn't add any ingredients, just cooked down the Apples with a little wAter for about an hour.
I have a hotsling and mindys is a seven sling I believe. We are wearing them in a hip hold. So nice to be hands free while picking apples and chasing a busy 2 yeAr old!
