Bon Voyage {Cruise Day 1}

Friday, March 23, 2012

Robb and I came home last night from a 5 night Royal Caribbean Cruise. It was our first time leaving the kids since Grayden was about 10 months old (we left him with grandparents for 2 nights while we went on a retreat with our youth group kids), we had a great time and knew they were in wonderful hands with Aunt Lisa! It went really good, we missed them like crazy but really enjoyed our time alone! The worst part was Sadler ended up coming down with rsv on Sunday so that was hard knowing he was sick but not being able to be there :( He was very well taken care of though! We are so lucky to have such wonderful family to be willing to help out and take care of our boys!
We dropped the boys off at my parents house (the rest of the week they stayed at our house) Friday night right before bedtime,

we headed for Detroit airport around 12:30 am to catch our 5:55am flight to Ft. Lauderdale, it was a long day with no sleep but we were so excited it didn’t faze us too much

We got on the ship around noon

and headed right to the lunch buffet!
We spent some time at the pool while we waited for our luggage to get to our stateroom

around 4:30 we went to our room to get ready for dinner (my favorite part!)

after dinner we went to the welcome aboard show and went to bed embarrassingly early, it was such a long day of traveling!
but not before we watched the sun set :)

the ship rocked us to sleep for almost 11 hours!
