We grabbed some bagels at Big Apple and then did a little new car shopping *still in the ‘research phase* =) {I'm hoping to join the mini van club, do you drive a mini van? what kind? do you love it?}

the boys had fun playing with grandpa and grandma

At night we went out with Scott and Stacey to San Chez, a Spanish tapas place, so yummy! Thanks Aunt Lisa for watching the boys!

Sunday we went to church and came home and took naps.

When the boys woke up we went to my mom and dad’s house to get some updated pictures of them with the 4 grandkids.

You should look at a GMC Acadia or a Chevrolet Traverse, mini van style seating but SUV looking. Great on gas!

I do like those, but I'm most looking forward to automatic sliding doors so the kids can climb in their seat by themselves, only a van can offer that!

Have a mazda5 and love it, it's sort of a mini mini van. BUT it is much smaller, so can be cramped for leg room (in the third row) and not as much storage in the back.

No way on the mini van. I never wanted to be a mini van mom. I prefer a SUV. You are too cute to drive a mini van. Lol

I've ALWAYS wanted to be a mini van driving, soccer mom!

I have a Toyota Siena and I love it. I love the automatic doors. It gets really good gas mileage and rides nicer than any off the others and the most comfy and roomy if them all :) we have the bucket seats in the middle. They also go forever.

Hello! I really enjoy your little family! You all are fun to read about! I became a minivan mom this summer. I never knew how much I would love it! We decided on a Toyota Sienna with all wheel drive. It was a great pick. My sis has a Town and Country and she loves hers too :)

Hey Katie! I do not have a mini van, however we've shopped for one and always loved the Odyssey. We decided on a hybrid tahoe which was just more suitable for us. However, I wanted to tell you that when we're home in Michigan, we drive my mom's dodge caravan, which is SO practical and easy to load up all the boys. Unfortunately, when we were home last--the sliding door on the van closed and completely latched on my 3yr olds hand. Dodge is currently doing a HUGE investigation on this, as they have determined it can snap a pencil from the force and the door will not retreat back automatically. If you go on Youtube you can see many other complaints of children's hands being caught :( I don't feel like the Odyssey's doors are as forceful and they have better sensors for making the automatic door slide back when obstructed. In their defense, Dodge states that you can turn the automatic sliders "off"--however, for a mom with busy kids, that is one of the reason's for purchasing a van! Anyhow, Good luck researching!

I am on my second mini-van, and when deciding on this last purchase room was the main reason for staying with a mini-van. I just could not give up all the storage room, and easy access to the rear seats, etc. My first one was a Grand Caravan and I loved it as it drove well, and I never had the first problem with it. We traded due to the miles on the old one since it was 7 yrs old, and we drive a lot where we live. My new one is a Toyota Sienna and I LOVE LOVE it, and even though my husband said he would never have a foreign built vehicle...well we love this one. It drives smooth, good gas mileage compared to an SUV, love the new body style, my converts from a 7 passenger to an 8 with the insertion of a small seat in the middle row. As your boys get older and you start hauling friends around, and are involved in sports (if you are), you WILL NOT regret your purchase.

Love, love, love my Honda Odyssey. You won't regret it!! Oh and my hubby loves it too :)

We started with a Toyota Sienna(brand new) and then switched two years later to a Honda Odyssey(also brand new). I have four children(3 in carseats) and we found out that the Honda is roomier and drives smoother, I love it!! Have fun shopping!!

We also have the Sienna. I never cared either way about driving a mini van - it just works best for me and the kids. The best thing about ours is that at our Toyota dealership we get free carwashes, manicures, and massages whenever you want! Definitely shop around for perks like that :)

That is awesome!

Hubby bought me an Odyssey last Christmas. I ALWAYS told my friends I would neer drive a minivan. Now they all drive SUVs and I have the van! But I don't are because I LOVE it! The sliding doors and the automatic tailgate is best. Plus, it has about a million cupholders, plugs, storage bins etc. I've never for a minute regretted it. And when I got pregnant with #3 i loved it even more. I looked at the Odyssey, tw Sienna and the Town & Country, btw.

We have a Honda Odyssey and love it. I love everything about it: sliding doors, dvd player, storage, cupholders, the seats fold down so easily too. The Sienna is also highly rated. We looked at one but we didn't feel like it was as nice as the Odyssey. I find it hard to fold down the Sienna's seats compared to the Odyssey. Just my thoughts.

We have a 2010 Toyota Sienna and love it!

We had someone back into our driver's side door when pulling out of a driveway across the street and while it was being fixed we got a Town and Country as a rental. It was the luxury version so I'm not sure if all models have this option, but the only thing I liked better about the T&C was the middle row seats fold into the floor as well as the back bench. The captain's chairs in the Sienna obviously don't do that.

Ours is a 7 passenger with the option of having an 8th passenger, but we would need to buy the extra seat separately. As much as I tried I could not find an SUV that didn't have a third row that took up all the trunk space. Minivan is definitely the way to go!

We have a chrystler town and country- all power doors and hatch- love it. stow n go is so helpful with things like strollers etc. and on occasion my husband has even used it to pick up large items at menards' stowing the seats. I have 2 in carseats and 1 riding in the back seat. it's great!
