My 30th Birthday

Monday, September 21, 2015

I turned the big 3-0 on the 11th, and was lucky enough to spend two full weeks celebrating!!

Robb took the day off on Friday (my birthday) and we headed to Grand Haven to have breakfast at one of my favorite little restaurants, Morning Star Cafe

After Gray got home from school we dropped the kids off again by Aunt Mindy and we headed for our second date of the day. We had dinner at The Green Well, which was so delicious!

We rented Age of Adeline from Redox, which I thought was a must since its about a girl who stays 29 forever :) and had a quiet movie night snuggled on the couch with candy and ice cream...it was perfection!

On Saturday I celebrated with my sisters. We did some shopping and then had dinner at Ucellos. Before heading home we grabbed cupcakes from Family Fare, they have such good chocolate cake there!

This past weekend we went to Fire Rock Grill with my parents, a tradition I look forward to all year long!

And to wrap up the birthday celebrations we had lunch and ice cream cake at my inlaws on Sunday!

How lucky am I? I feel so loved!

I'm so grateful for another birthday, every day is truly a gift!

They say you're only as old as you feel, and most days I feel like I'm 45, so I'd say being 30 is pretty rockin' :)

Is it a regional thing to say "by" instead of "at?" I've noticed you say that a lot when you're talking about leaving the kids somewhere. You say "the kids went to play by Grandma's" where I (in the south) would say "the kids went to play at Grandma's." Just curious. Happy birthday!

I'm guessing it's a regional thing, but I'm not sure, maybe it's "just me"

I think it's a west MI thing- I would also so "at", but I know my mother in law always says "by" 😄

"HAPPY Birthday!!"
Reading the other comments, I also have noticed the "by" vs "at." Never heard it that way before either but our differences are what makes life so fun! Glad you are celebrating your many blessings :)
