We started off our Memorial Day weekend with breakfast out as a family on Saturday morning. Grayden's been asking to go out for breakfast ever since he chose dinner over breakfast for his birthday outing (seems like he may have regrets about that choice, ha!)
After breakfast we headed to the greenhouse to pick up some flowers for the window boxes and porch.
It was the perfect day to plant flowers and work around the house, warm but not too hot!
cutest little helpers
At night Robb and I had "date night in"; playing games and dining on pizza and chicken wings, while the kids played at G & G Lubbers.
Monday morning the boys rode with Robb in a semi through the Hamilton Memorial Day parade, they had a blast throwing candy, and Jovie and I had fun watching and catching the candy :)
After the parade we went to my inlaws for a delicious brunch and swam in the pool.
notice the hand sneaking a slice of watermelon :)
the boys have become such water rats!
Later in the day we went back to the cottage to wrap up a fun weekend.

I love this poster Grayden made at school as a reminder of why we celebrate Memorial Day.
A HUGE thanks to the men and women who serve, have served, and especially to those who lost their lives protecting our county.
