Last week Grayden and I ventured downtown to join the Tulip Time festivities again on Wednesday and Thursday to watch the parades and eat some more junk food!


Wednesday we were joined by Nicole, my sister Lisa and a couple of the kids she nanny's for, Collin and Leah! We met for lunch at Russ' and then watched the Volksparade!

Thursday we met up with Emily and Brooklyn for lunch at Russ' once and again and then headed downtown to watch the Kinderparade!

Until next year....

This is my 3rd Mother's Day.
The 1st where I have a living child who woke up this morning, gave me a wide grin, wrapped his sleepy arms around my neck and called me 'mom-mom'. I can't describe the way by heart bursts for that little boy. And I can't describe the way my heart bleeds to hold my firstborn son again and how I wish I could walk into his room this morning and tell him how much I love him.


Brenham, I miss you sweet boy. Thank you for the honor it is to be your mommy. I love you so much and as always can't wait for the day when we are united again. You have blessed my life in so many ways, you are such a gift!

Grayden, What joy you have brought to my life. I love being your mommy with every fiber of my being, my heart has never been so full. You make motherhood easy. I hope and pray that with God's help I can be the best mommy! I love you so much!

To our own moms~ We love you very much! Thank you for your unconditional love and support. Happy Mother's Day!

To Grayden's birth mom~ Today we celebrate YOU, how can I ever thank you enough for this precious gift? You hold a very special place in our hearts, what a blessing you are in our lives. Happy Mother's Day!

To all you other mothers out there I'd like to wish you a Happy Mother's Day, may your children continue to bless and enrich your lives each and every day!

To all you mothers out there without your children here to hug today, Happy Mother's Day and know you are in my prayers on this difficult day. Your children may not be here to make you breakfast in bed today but they love you so very much. You are great mommies.

And to all you women who long to be a mother, this day is especially difficult for you as well. Today as you sit in silence and tears as the mothers glow from happiness on their special day, know you are being prayed for as well. May God bless you and multiply your families in His own perfect timing.

Grayden and I brought lunch to Robb at work today. We loved being able to see him midway through the day and spend some time eating lunch together!

Grayden is so lucky to have such a special daddy, we love you so much! Thanks for working hard everyday to provide us with all that we need!

Wow! We had such a fun, busy weekend. So busy that I never got around to posting Fashion Friday, sorry about that to those of you who were anxiously awaiting that :) I'll be sure to find time this week!
Friday morning I took Grayden to playgroup at the library where he played with his friends and had a great time.


We skipped out of that a little early so I could head to church to do hair for my friend Carla and her bridal party. Straight from there I headed to town to try and exchange a dress I bought for our family pictures, I bought the wrong size but they didn't have my size anymore so I did my best to pin it! Nothing like waiting til the last minute!

I raced home and took a shower and got ready for date night with Robb's cousin Scott and Stacey. We had a great time. It was so nice to just sit and relax and enjoy dionner after a busy day.

Saturday morning we had Gray's 1 year/family pictures taken by Val, you can click her name for a sneak peak!
After that I had an updo to do for a high school prom go-er and once I was finished with that we headed to my parents cottage to put the dock in and went out for dinner.

Sunday we went to church, and then went home and took naps. Once Grayden woke up we headed downtown with my family to the Tulip Time festivities.


We borrowed a Dutch costume for Grayden and he looked so cute in in!

Today's edition of Fashion Friday is featuring a few of my favorite finds from TJMaxx!

I love this long sleeve burnout tee, the color is so fun and its unlike anything else in my closet. It was $12.99 last Fall.I've had this scarf for awhile but I often wear scarves to dress up a plain white tee when I'm in a hurry and don't have time to fuss over my outfit. I love the multi shades of green! This was on clearence for $5.00!

I was on a mision one day to find some longer tunic style tops to wear with my black skinny jeans and leggings to cover up my backside a little more and came home with the the next two tops. The gray one was $12.99 and the pink one was $14.99
