oh how precious Katie!!! I have yet to get the pictures I wanted of our little man with his sister's grave stone but it is to come. It is just so monumental and such a huge mountain to have climbed.

You are an amazing mommy and God is pleased with you friend!

Both boys are beautiful and I agree with Pamela.

To the rude poster above, if you have something to say, at least have the balls to say it without hiding behind an "anonymous" comment!

Katie, I think the pictures are beautiful!!!

Anonymous #2..Brenham is our very first grandchild. We feel that he is a very special child created by His heavenly Father. His picture is our visual reminder. We can't hold him in our arms, like we can Grayden, but he will be held in our hearts forever.
Katie - what a beautiful post.

Thanks for sharing pics of your sweet boys! They are both absolutely precious and miracles from God.

To the rude poster above... keep your comments to yourself. No one wants to hear them. "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

Katie, this is a beautiful post. It is wonderful how you did this for both of your boys and very touching. I teared up a little looking at it.

Katie,

To have followed your journey is to know how both of these precious baby boys have stolen your hearts. Both created by One God who loves them both beyond measure. The only difference is Brenhan is with Jesus and Grayden is with you. Such perfect gifts. Love you.

Love and Hugs, Laurie
PS. please pay no mind to meanies.

This brought me to tears! I have followed your blog for awhile and have cried many tears for you and your family. I am so thankful to see the new bundle of joy in your life! God is so good!

what a great post today! so sweet!

Loretta said...

Two beautiful boys.

Michelle said...

I too am stunned at the lack of sensitivity and compassion that anonymous #2 shows. Hurtful people are hurting people. I'm sincerely praying for whoever that was that God will show His gracious compassion to them.

Premees are so tiny and delicate and bruise so easily coming through the birth canal. I know because my precious nephew was born just as early as Brenham. He lived for only a few short hours. Their photos are very similar.

Brenham was and still is a precious gift. I am so thankful that you choose to share your beautiful sons with us.

God bless you and your beautiful family!

Heidi said...

Simply beautiful! So sorry that there are those out there who feel the need to be rude and obnoxious. Love and hugs!

Emmaly said...

I was floored reading the comment that person put. I think every baby is a gift from God.

P.S. Is there a button on here where you can mark a comment as rude because I would have done it ten times by now.

LJFredricks said...

Katie I love this post!! Brenham may not be here in body to be a big brother but he is here in spirit and in love! He has left a legacy of love and I am glad that Grayden will know about how special and beautiful his older brother is.

Now to the anonymous poster. It is obvious to me that you must have some serious issues to want to inflict pain on someone in this way. Please know that you have been prayed for today. This blog is meant for healing not inflicting hurt.
Katie, I am sorry that this happened. I prayed for you too ;)

Jess said...

I agree - they look alike! How cool!

You have been so blessed, Katie.

Anonymous #2: Get a life, seriously.

Katie,

This post absolutely brought tears to my eyes. I am so happy for your blessing!

You and your family are constantly in my prayers (and praises!!). Enjoy that handsome man!

Anonymous #2 clearly has the etiquette of a monkey...actually no, that would be an improvement.

Katie, thanks for posting this today--your boys are beautiful, and the pictures speak thousands of words to the blessings you've had in your life, the blessings you have all been to all of us, and the blessings you are to each other.

Amanda said...

We're so happy for you! What wonderful gifts God has given you! They are both amazingly beautiful boys. I'm sure Brenham is up in heaven, holding Jesus hand, and watching over you and your family. God bless you and your new addition.

Pray for the poster who felt the need to make an inappropriate comment. He/she obviously needs God's guidence to find peace in his/her life. Only someone who is truly unhappy with themselves and their life would make a hurtful comment to such a beautiful person.

Lots of love Katie!

Erin S. said...

Katie- both of your boys are beautiful. I'm so sorry for your loss and so happy that you've been given a new blessing.

Please don't let hurtful comments get you down. You have a beautiful testimony of God's grace and favor.

Congrats on your new baby. I wish you blessings and favor from God.

Katie,

I stumbled across your blog, and I'm delurking for this one...this is beautiful. My mom lost two babies at 21 and 22 weeks, and this picture brought back a lot of memories (I was 14 or so at the time). Even now, I hold my 4 month old and at times think of those babies at just 11 and 13 oz and praise God for what I've been given--I'm sure you do the same. Best of luck with your gorgeous family!

I've never posted on your blog before, but I wanted to say that I think the pictures are just lovely. I think they have a sense of peace and balance that is very evident. Thank you for sharing them, and for allowing us all to share this journey with you & your family.

Jan, wise words indeed, your first grandson is a fine boy, safe in the arms of Jesus. To the anon commentor2 (I know, I am anon to, I have no account), I have prayed for you today, for love and understanding to open your heart, and for you never to have to know the stark, harsh reality of holding a desperately premature baby in your arms, looking at the translucent skin, and knowing that it is all beyond your control.

Your boys are beautiful Katie. Peace be with you. x

Wow....these are two of the most beautiful pictures I've ever seen. I love taking landscape photography of nature's beauty but honestly what's more beautiful than life...God's miracle! Your precious Brenham lived a very short live but I can tell you that it wasn't in vain...just by looking at his picture I can tell he blessed many people and still is by his testimony. He will forever be engraved in your hearts and one very special day you will get to hold him again...in Heaven!!! You younger son is beautiful as well...I'm pretty sure he too will grow up longing to meet his big brother in Heaven one day! Thanz for sharing!

Hi katie, I am new to your blog and thankful that God has blessed you with both boys. You like I have an angel baby to run to you when you get to heaven. We lost a baby girl Grace Lynn on 5-9-08. She passed of a rare disease "Cystic Hygroma with hydrops" last year was very hard, but was hopeful of getting pregnant again. Four months later we concieved again. I had a perfect pregnancy and the baby was so healthy. I was going for a regular app. around 7 months and the baby's heart beat stopped. I too had to go through labor. Kaden James was born into the arms of Jesus' 5-5-09 the same week a year ago we lost Grace. We were shocked and confused. The only answer we have so far is that his heart stopped at 29 weeks and they don't know why. It is very rare in pregnancy. My husband and I choose to walk by faith and I have started a blog on how God has been moving in our life. It is "walkingbyhopeandfaith.blogspot.com" I am encouraged by your story and your Journey of faith

Brenham and your new son are both SOOOO BEAUTIFUL! What precious and incredible pictures! I can see both you and your hubby in Brenham's beautiful little face.

In September 2004, I lost my daughter at 32 weeks and although the loss is horrific, as Christians we know we will hold our beautiful little gifts from God in our arms again one day. I can just envision Jesus holding Brenham in His arms and showing him his little brother here on earth :-)

These are truly photos to treasure.

My prayers are with you always, and I pray that you continue to be abundantly blessed. You are the definition of a true inspiration.

Katie,
You don't know me. I stumbled upon your blog accidentally, and have been following your story for a few months now. For some reason, it has just touched my heart, and brought about a stirring in my heart to makes changes in my life. I want you to know (especially in light of what has happened in the past week) that what you are doing and your story is touching those you don't even know... that God is using you as a wonderful means for His good work. I think you are brave and beautiful and when I look at your pictures you and your family radiate God's love. I can only hope and pray to one day be half the person that you are. Blessings on your whole family. Snuggle that new baby close and know and trust that God is holding Brenham in the palm of his hand safe until you can be with him again. With all my love...
