{Happy Thanksgiving}

Friday, November 29, 2013

We had a wonderful thanksgiving, I hope all of you did, too!

We had our first family gathering Wednesday night with Robb's dad's extended family.
On Thanksgiving Day the boys all headed to church, while I stayed home to catch up on sleep, I'd been up all night with some 'tummy trouble' :(
I hated to miss church, but was thankful to be feeling better and more rested to join everyone at Robb's mom's extended family gathering.

Robb and I have so much to be thankful for, year after year God has blessed us with more than we deserve.
We are SO blessed!

{bUmPDATE} end of week 33!

Saturday, November 23, 2013

I started week 34 yesterday, can't believe how close we're getting!!
I'd appreciate your continued prayers over the next 6ish weeks. Specifically that my kidney function stays stable, we're seeing some evidence that my kidney is starting to become stressed, which was expected with the weight of the baby and doing double the work, but still makes me a nervous. And also for my hemoglobin to continue to rise. It was at an all time low of 7.8 a week ago Thursday, (I fainted in church on Sunday and at home the week before that!) and as of this past Tuesday it jumped up to 8.8!  My doctors are hoping for anything above 9 before delivery. Please pray the injections keep doing their job and help boost that level to 9 or even higher! And no more fainting, that certainly wasn't fun!

Thanks SO much for your prayers and for sharing in our excitement during this special time. This certainly hasn't been a smooth pregnancy, but I've loved experiencing pregnancy again and the miracle growing inside me.
I feel so blessed!

Insta Friday

Friday, November 22, 2013

Wow, I'm so behind on posting our Instagram pictures, we had a crazy week with three days of no power and internet issues before that!
Here's the latest in our day to day lives!

Grayden had "Father's Night" at his preschool a few weeks ago, he and Robb had a great night!

We took the boys to Movie Night at the library to see Monsters U, Gray was extra excited!

Busted eating Nutella by the spoonful, hiding behind the couch.

Grandparents day at school!

a couple weeks ago I went to check on Sadler awhile after laying him down for a nap, and I couldn't find him anywhere...I asked Grayden if he'd seen him and he nonchalantly pointed under the dining table, he was zonked!

practicing gentleness, Sadler LOVES babies but needs a lot of reminders to be gentle!

And we need to work on not running in the house! Poor Sadler got a nice goose egg instantly after running into a dining room pillar! Poor love.

Gray had his first sick day from school a couple weeks ago, he was glued to the TV all day.

I was super intimidated when my injections came in the mail...

turns out it stings pretty bad while the medicine goes in, but was a pretty easy process after all...at least for me, Robb and Grayden are having a hard time watching me do them. :)

Robb spent the day in Chicago for the Lions vs Bears game a couple Sunday's ago!
It was an exciting game.

I had parent/teacher conferences for Gray last week, he makes me so proud, he got an excellent report!

Scored a brand new ergo carrier for half price last week with a promo code they offered for a short time! Lucky day!
I've heard some rave reviews, but couldn't justify full price in case our babe doesn't like it, so I'm pretty excited to try it out now!

Grayden was star helper again at school last week, it was so fun to go along and help in his class and see him in his element!

I love our lazy Friday mornings at home when Grayden doesn't have school..but the boys are so used to being on the go that they get bored so quickly. Rice play was a huge hit and entertained them for awhile!

Celebrating 33 weeks last Friday with my Insta friends!

Love these boys!

Saturday night date night with all my boys!

We moved Sadler from a toddler bed (need that crib mattress back soon!) to a big boy bed Saturday night, sadly he fell out around midnight so a barrier has since gone up! Not sure what we were thinking!

This boy is such a bagel lover, love our Panera dates!

We lost power early Monday morning, after a major storm Sunday night the power lines were cut due to some down wires.
We had to make fun in new ways, these pom-pom balls in Parmesan cheese containers provided tons of fun!

We snuggled in Monday night for a sleepover in the basement where it was a little warmer than the main floor.
By Tuesday morning, after 24 hours of no power we got a generator hooked up to heat the house during the night and keep the fridge/freezers cold.
But we had no lights and no water.
Baths by grandma and grandpa were in order

Finally, Wednesday night, after about 52 hours of no power we came home from church to a lit up house!
We were all SO happy!

time out attitude! pretty much impossible to stay upset with him, he's just too cute!

Fun morning today at SkyZone, an indoor trampoline place, with our friends Jayme, Drew and Lila!
It was a blast and the boys burned off lots of energy!

{bUmPDATE} end of week 32

Saturday, November 16, 2013

I didn't even bother to upload an ultrasound picture, it's so hard to make anything out at this point.

Time is FLYING! I started week 33 yesterday which is an exciting milestone to reach. I'll now most likely be able to deliver at the local hospital instead of the big one downtown. Unless something major comes up, the local hospital will be fully capable to take great care of us both at this stage.

Sadler {2.5 years old}

Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Wow, two and a half! (as of Oct. 19, opps! so late on this)
In some ways it seems like you've been in our lives for much longer than that, we can't imagine life without you in it! And in some ways it feels like just yesterday when we welcomed you into our little family, there is still so much to learn about you!
Boy, you are growing up! We've seen you transform so much in the last few months from a toddler into a big boy! You're vocabulary surprises us everyday! You've become such a big helper for mom around the house. You can play so nicely with Grayden and have a budding imagination.
You love: Paw Patrol, your brother, your cousins, babies, your pacis, eating, tractors, Lightning McQueen, opening the garage door.
You are energetic and wild, loving and sweet, determined and feisty.
We can't wait to: continue watching you grow up, see you as a BIG brother, and teach you more about God's love for you!
We love you sweet, silly boy!

Halloween and Weekend Wrap Up

Tuesday, November 5, 2013

We haven't started the whole 'trick or treating' thing yet with the boys, we just go to grandparents and aunt/uncles houses, but it's still fun to dress the boys up in costumes!

Gray went as a construction worker

and sadler was (a very serious) farmer!

with the cousins!

That about wraps up our Halloween :)

Now onto our weekend,
Friday night I had a freezer meal party with my friends. Made more great meals to fill our freezer!

Saturday morning Gray and I had a little one and one time running errands together, and Robb and Sadler did some work around the house.
In the afternoon Robb had a bunch of guys over to watch the Michigan vs. Michigan State game.
The boys and I went to Post Family Farms with my parents for a fun afternoon!

Feeding the goat!

Sunday morning the boys had a small part in our Orphan Sunday service. They stood up front wearing their "adopted" shirt amongst others to represent those who are physically and spiritually adopted, while a music video played on the screen.
They did a great job!
