Brenham's birthday weekend started out on Saturday by dropping off all the hats and blankets to the hospital!
There was an overwhelming total of 154 hats and 54 blankets! You guys rock! thank-you so much.
While we were there we went to meet my cousins new little girl, Rowan, here she is wearing one of the precious hats! Congrats John , Jill and Trey! We are so excited that Rowan could be the first baby to receive a Brenham hat!!
it was such a beautiful day on Saturday, perfect for the balloon release! We ended up deciding not to attach the messages to the balloon itself because there were SO many we thought the balloon might not even move! Instead we will be putting them in a cute little box next to the headstone.
Our families came for cake and we had a nice time celebrating together.
Sunday on Brenham's "official" birthday we spent the day at home just the two of us.
Thank you so much for all your many thoughts, prayers and messages over the weekend, we apprecuate you more than we could EVER express. God gave us so much strength and we could feel all of your prayers all weekend long! Thank You!

So glad to hear you had a great weekend celebrating Brenham's birthday!
And Just think---how many do you think you would have had if you had given us a longer time to get them done?
Glad you had a good week end celebrating Brenham's birthday.
The hats and blankets are amazing...so wonderful to see the outpouring of support. Happy Birthday Brenham...what a beautiful celebration. I can only imagine the celebration going on in heaven.
Blessings and Prayers for you,

This day will never be EASY. But God will carry you every single time! I go through it 3 times a year and have always felt HIS presence surround me and carry me through. The years get easier but the memory and "what if" forever lingers strongly!
Bless you!

Just found your blog and "started" at the begining. Was crying and feeling your pain. I'm so glad you guys have God in your life...I will be praying for you. Sounded like Brenham's birthday celebration went well. I'm sure that your little guy is up in Heaven with Jesus watching over you.
Umm whatta bout the Friday celebrations? :) Glad the weekend went well!
just beautiful, what a wonderful way to celebrate your son.
What a wonderful weekend! I am so happy that everything went well.
I love the pictures of all the hats! What a testament to such a special little boy.
I'm glad you guys had a good weekend and your families honored Brenham in such a way. Birthdays are a celebration of life! So glad you guys chose to do just that.
It sounds like it was a lovely weekend. The hats and blankets are precious and what a fun way to honor Brenham's memory. I have always thought one of God's greatest gifts to us is to have the ability to smile, laugh, and celebrate even in times of intense sadness. It looks like you and Rob were able to celebrate Brenham's life despite how difficult the weekend must have been. You guys continue to be in my prayers!
What a great way to honor Brenham on his birthday. He is such a special boy.
Thank you for sharing Katie! What a wonderful project you put together in honor of Brenham! We love you lots!
Any news on adopting?
I love how you two celebrate his birthday even though he is not here, Brenham is so strong in your hearts.
We just celebrated our daughters first birthday in Heaven on Feb 22nd, and I know how hard it is. I wish I could have done something as wonderful as you have with the hats and blankets.
I've lost 2 babies. In their memory I think I am going to start making blankets and donating to the hospital. My son's blanket (he just passed in Jan) was my best friend those first few weeks.
What you have done is wonderful. I am going to add you to my blogroll.
God Bless both you and Robb and your families for your strength!
Who did the Cake?
Hope all goes well this week for both of you. Will be thinking of you
I am so glad that you received so many hats and blankets!! God is good!!
You were in my thoughts & prayers the entire weekend of your sweet baby's 1st birthday!
