BROTHERS

gray is doing A-MAZ-ING! He acts like Sadler’s been around forever, totally adjusting well at this point, I am, however, expecting that to change at any given time but for now he is doing GREAT!

We could not be more proud of him!

We are so excited that Sadler will have Grayden and Brenham as big brothers, what a lucky little boy! Speaking of Sadler’s brothers I wanted to point out that his middle name “Graham” is the combination of Grayden and Brenham’s names.

Sadler got Grayden a big brother gift, in it was a toy race car (Jimmie Johnson), Mickey Mouse Clubhouse bubble wand, Elmo interactive learning book, a flashlight and a toy fishing pole. Gray loves it!

Big Brother Class!

Sunday, April 17, 2011

I took Grayden to a big brother class at our local hospital Thursday morning. It was precious! All the kiddos got a little baby doll to learn how to hold, how to give him a bottle, and change diapers.
Grayden was the youngest one there and the only one who thought the baby was real! It was so cute, he was looking into the baby’s eyes saying ‘hi baby’ in sweet little baby talk and rocking the baby! He was the star of the show!!

Towards the end of the hour long class we took a tour of the hospital’s labor and delivery floor and we got to see one of the rooms, Grayden snuck a peek into the bathroom and tried to put the baby in the toilet! Oye! He loved the attention he got from everyone laughing and I am now a bit nervous! LOL!

What a good big brother!

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 10

Wednesday, April 13, 2011

Today will you pray for my nerves? I’m so nervous that things won’t work out with the adoption and everything will fall through and leave us heart broken. I know the Lord is in control but its hard not to fret about it! There are so many unknowns with adoption and this one specifically so will you pray that we feel a peace about everything? Thank-you all!

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 9

First of all, thanks again so much for joining me in prayer over Baby Lubbers, you’ll never know how much it means to me!

Today lets pray for our adoption agency, Bethany Christian Services. We thank God for such an amazing organization and all the wonderful things they do there. We thank them for all they have done to make us a family. They have been there every step of the way and provide life long services to adoptive families, adoptees and birth families, we are so thankful for them! We pray especially for the people involved with Baby L’s adoption; for our case worker L, and the birth mother’s case worker, J. We thank God for these women and everything they do to ensure this adoption goes smoothly. We pray that God gives them the wisdom and ability to continue to do their jobs the best they can!

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 8

Monday, April 11, 2011

You may have noticed I took a break from posting the prayer requests over the weekend, I’m thinking of those as ‘review days’ to go back and pray for all those things again!

Today let’s pray for Grayden. I know he will LOVE being a big brother, he is already so sweet and gentle to his cousin Makenna and we’re praying the same will be true with his lil bro!  We pray that Grayden will be a great role model for his brother and be kind and loving towards him. We also pray that he will always know how special he is to us and not feel neglected or less important once the little guys comes. We pray he adjusts well to the upcoming changes in this house and in our family!

I get all teary when I think about not having that one-on-one time with just me and Gray once the baby comes, I love our time together and want to make an effort to keep him included and schedule special time for just us as well!

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 5

Friday, April 8, 2011

Today will you pray for Robb and I as parents? We pray that with God’s help we’ll be the best parents possible for this little guy, that we’ll make good decisions on how to parent him and raise him to be a strong, respected, godly man some day.

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 4

Thursday, April 7, 2011

Today we’re praying for the baby’s birth father. Let’s pray he feels a peace about the adoption plan and will be willing to consent to the adoption. We pray he has an open mind and heart and he will be able to decide what is in the best interest for this child.…I won’t get into it but this is a huge prayer request we have.

Thanks so much for praying us through this time! We love ya!

Prayer Journey for baby L Day 3

Wednesday, April 6, 2011

Today lets pray for this little BOY who will be joining our family soon! We are thrilled! Grayden will love being a big brother and I’m so excited to be able to see that brotherly bond form between these boys! We are so blessed!

Image02edit

*Can’t wait to meet this precious face and kiss those sweet checks!*

Let pray that the little guy will be healthy and strong and grow up (but not too quickly) to love the Lord and serve Him as his Savior. We pray that he will always know how much we and his birth family love him and want the absolute best for him!

We put our house up for sale on Friday!

IMG_0508

It was a big day at our house!

We purchased land to build on last summer so this has been in the works for awhile. We decided April 1 would be the day the sign went in the yard months ago, long before the baby news came and although we did a little second guessing on our decision to sell our house with a new baby on the way we stuck with the original plan!

We’re trusting God with this new journey as well! We know, as always, His timing will be perfect!

We had 2 showings already on Saturday so we could have a very busy Spring if it would sell soon!  But then on the other hand it could take months! As anxious as we are to start building our dream home once this house sells we know it will be bittersweet! We have SO many memories in this house!

Robb bought this house when we were still dating and fixed it all up as a hobby. I fell in love with the character of the house and knew we would one day live here as a couple when we got married.

We put A LOT of work into this house, lots of heart and soul was put into this project, fixing up our first home!

(sorry about all the scanned photos)

(don't we look young?!?) we were!

Robb proposed to me in this house when it was just newly dry-walled.

(wow, these pics are blurry, i guess my photo taking skills have improved some since then!)

We came home to this house from our honeymoon.

We brought Grayden home to this house from the hospital.

We’ve shared many laughs and many tears in this house…lots of memories. Can’t wait to make lots more memories in our future home!
