the boys and I hit up our first garage sales of the season this morning! we went to a couple neighborhoods and browsed around!

here’s a look at our loot:

*“Be Safe Little Boy” book: We already have this book, but this one was in much better condition that ours and for only .50  I couldn’t pass it up!

*dark khaki Cherokee  pants: $1.50 Gray was in major need of new dress pants! SCORE!

*light khaki Gymboree pants: $1

*navy Old Navy dress pants: $1.50

brown Gymboree shorts .50

Merrell shoes: .75 definitely worn but they are excellent quality shoes so i know they have lots of play use left in them!

SmartFit shoes: .25

its so hard to find used clothes/shoes for boys once you get past 12-18 months that are in nice condition, boys just wear things right out so I was pretty happy with these finds! I usually don’t have much luck at all finding clothes! Poor Sadler didn’t get anything, but his wardrobe is set for life, he gets all Gray’s outgrown stuff!

And my {tuck-n-run} deal of the day:

a plasma car for $5!! (sold at target for $58)

Sadler's going through a little hoarding stage, he finds random things to fill my cupboards with! he’s also going through a ‘i hate being changed or dressed stage,’ hence the lack of clothing on him!

Friday,

{first} time at McDonald's play place after garage sale-ing! (my kids must be sheltered, actually i think its my fear of germs!!)

Today Gryaden had a very special day hanging out with daddy at work! It played out really well because Robb was out of town for a few days, and came home EARLY this morning while everyone was still sleeping, so it was fun for them to be able to spend time together at work!

I dropped Gray off by Robb after Sadler woke up from his morning nap and Sadler and I headed to town for a few errands while the big boys worked!

when our errands were done we brought lunch to the guys and then we all headed home!

gray even got his first paycheck!!

Gray fell asleep during the 5 minute car ride home, all that working tuckered him out!

i made this birthday banner before grayden’s 1st birthday party so its been used a few times already and i’m hoping to will make it to many more!
it wasn’t hard to make but it was time consuming to cut out all the circles! it was nice to have a husband helper!!

first i printed out the letters in a large, fun font on plain, white paper so the letters would pop against the bright colors. then i roughly cut around the letters and set them aside.

next i traced enough circles for each letter in ‘Happy Birthday’ (with 4 extras if you want blank ones on the ends) in two different sizes on fun bright colored paper, i used bowls to trace around.

you can use whatever colored paper would match you’re theme, i chose colors that would work for any theme for years to come!

then, using a glue stick, glue the letter to the smaller circle and then the smaller circle to the larger circle. I used a hole punch to punch holes on each side of the larger cirlce and tied ribbons to connect them, (you could use twine for a more rustic look). For the ends, leave a long ribbon to use to tie up your banner!!

that’s it! cheap and easy!

he ended the night with a neb treatment and fell fast asleep in his froggy jammies which is VERY unlike him! he must have been partied out!

you still struggle with allergies/asthma/wheezing symptoms, we’re trying to get you sounding better buddy!
you are always on the go and always getting into trouble! you love to climb and stand on things you shouldn’t!

you’re appetite has exploded but you can be kinda picky when it comes to what you eat!
you say ‘dada’ and ‘uh-oh’ and can sign ‘more’ and ‘please’ 50% of the time when asked to :)
you are getting your sixth tooth!
you are so determined, you don’t let anything stop you! I pray God will use that to His glory!

some days you make me want to pull my hair out but i hope you always know i love you to pieces and always will!
you are so precious and lovable!
