{bUmPDATE} end of week 33!

Saturday, November 23, 2013

I started week 34 yesterday, can't believe how close we're getting!!
I'd appreciate your continued prayers over the next 6ish weeks. Specifically that my kidney function stays stable, we're seeing some evidence that my kidney is starting to become stressed, which was expected with the weight of the baby and doing double the work, but still makes me a nervous. And also for my hemoglobin to continue to rise. It was at an all time low of 7.8 a week ago Thursday, (I fainted in church on Sunday and at home the week before that!) and as of this past Tuesday it jumped up to 8.8!  My doctors are hoping for anything above 9 before delivery. Please pray the injections keep doing their job and help boost that level to 9 or even higher! And no more fainting, that certainly wasn't fun!

Thanks SO much for your prayers and for sharing in our excitement during this special time. This certainly hasn't been a smooth pregnancy, but I've loved experiencing pregnancy again and the miracle growing inside me.
I feel so blessed!

Been following your blog "silently" for quite awhile now and just had to comment that I'm praying for you, too! All the way from California :) my sister had 30 week old twins in April, and it made me realize how much we take for granted successful labors and healthy babies! God is so good!

Sending prayers and wishing you good luck. You are a very string and courageous woman. Whatever happens in the next few weeks remember our creator has you in his hands and will protect you.

Katie:
So thankful for this pregnancy journey thus far. I have twin nieces that were born at 32 weeks. They weighed 4-4 & 4-6. That was in 1980. They are now 33 with jobs & houses. God is so good. You look great. God Bless!

I pray, and hope and wish every day for the very best for you and your baby!!!

Are there any labour and delivery plan you can share with us? If all goes well, are they happy to let you continue to your due date, or would they want to induce early? Hoping to avoid a C-Section, or don't care? Excited to see both of your boys as big brothers?

It is such a wonderful time, and I know you appreciate that, but I am also sorry for your stress!

Oh Katie you are almost there!!! I will be praying for all the things you asked - especially your kidney issues. After all you have gone thru.....I will wrap you up in healing prayer. And so I don't forget...I am so thankful for the wonderful bloggers I have met and continue to know via the internet, like you. You have blessed my life in so many ways - given me hope that although my life is very different from what I imagined, that God is always with me. The holidays are especially hard now that my son is gone :( This holiday was his favorite. But I will push thru and focus on the good things in my life.

So...a long way to say THANK YOU :):) I hope you have a blessed Thanksgiving with your family - your last one as a family of 4!!!

xxoo - Diane
