Brenham's Birthday

Tuesday, March 2, 2010

Thank you all so much for the prayers, comments, emails, cards and fb messages you sent us over Brenham's birthday, they mean the world to us. They really do.

The celebration lasted all weekend starting with a visit from Nicole and some ice cream cake Friday night! Thanks so much, Nicole!

We chose to officially celebrate his birthday on the 28th this year since it was a Sunday and we were all together. We visited the church that our former youth pastor is now preaching at, he did Brenham's funeral service and also baptized Grayden so it was really special to us to go visit his new church, after church we went for lunch at TGIFridays.

We headed to the cemetery in the afternoon and released 2 blue balloons.

Its hard to believe he would have been 2 years old already but at the same time it feels like an eternity. We miss him so much but celebrate that he is in Heaven having the party of a lifetime. We look forward to the day we will all be together as a family.

I've been "lurking" for many, many months now. I found your blog from Nicole's. You both are such amazingly strong women. You inspire me...

Happy Birthday to Brenham. May God continue to bless and keep you and your loved ones safe and happy.

I have been following your blog for a while now and absolutely love how you keep Brenham's memory alive. My angel, Agapito would have been 4 yrs old this Saturday. Unlike your family and friends, mine shy away and it disappoints me. It is like he never existed but he did. I have his ultrasound pictures and his heartbeat on videotape. He lived in me for 20 weeks and died in his daddy's arms. My heart is still broken but God blessed me with a daughter. We even had a scare with my pregnancy with her. I had to stay on hospital bedrest for 3 months. She is now 2 and my pride and joy.

Hard to believe it has been two years already- loved the picture of the three of you by the gravesite. What a glorious celebration it will be when your boys get to meet finally.

I am so sorry for the loss of your sweet baby son. That picture of his brother at the gravesite is the sweetest thing - it brought tears to my eyes. We lost our 1st daughter to prematurity years ago, and our subsequent 3 children know all about her and visited the cemetery countless times. They knew they were loved, and the death of their sister made me strive harder to be a mother, even in the face of medical complications.Thinking of all of you....

I am going through some difficulties with my own son and my brother right now (kidney issues with my brother....I know you can relate to that!) so maybe I am just more emotional but that picture of Brenham's stone and the one of Grayden touching it brought me to tears...bless you all!

Love the picture of Grayden touching the grave. I have often dreamed of the day Grant will be able to do that when we go visit his big sisters. You were my first "babylost" friend and you are always in my thoughts and prayers!
