Library Play Group

Monday, March 22, 2010

Friday morning I took Grayden for his first playgroup at the library. He's been to a few play dates with some friends from church before but this was his first big social outing with lots of different kids his age!

He started out as just an observer, just checking out the other kids but towards the end he got right in there and checked everything out! He loved it and I did too, I love doing stuff like this with him!

After an hour of singing songs, reading a book, making a craft and play time we headed to the grocery store and Grayden was exhausted! So much work to play so hard!
He really was SO close to falling asleep in the cart while I was waiting for my prescription to be filled; snuggled right up against the chip bags and gallon of milk :)

We finished our fun mommy/grayden day with a stroller walk grandma's house.

The weather was so nice on friday, if only it could have lasted :) We woke up on Saturday morning with snow!!

what library did you go to?

M would have been EXHAUSTED...of course, he's got a much shorter attn span than Grayden right now :)

we tried to make it more than 15 minutes at great grandma's house yesterday, and it wasn't happening!!!

also wondering if you have one of the miracle blankets that i could buy or borrow...

Looks like you all had so much fun! And I think I was in your neck of the woods this weekend and I really did not appreciate all that snow one single bit.

Looks like you guys had an awesome day! Where did you go for the playgroup? I've been looking for something like that to do with Emma, but haven't had much luck...

you don't have to post this since it's unrelated to your library news, but just wanted to make sure you got it-- the way that miracle blanket wraps their arms in looks genius b/c that is the major prob for us with the swaddle mes. the dumb things are made with openings right at his hands... thanks a lot for the link. one more "sleeping" thing-- do you think when he's nearing 3 mo as he is that we shouldn't be swaddling him anymore? i'm just wondering if it'll hinder his learning to roll over and stuff but i don't know how to get him to sleep w/o it! don't know how to make that transition or when :/ ok- so now i've apparently made you the sleep expert- sorry!

looks like you both had lots of fun! i adore doing those sorts of exploratory outings with the boys. it really allows them to learn and observe some neat things, keep up the beautiful mothering job over there katie!!

I know when I'm especially tired, there's nothing like a Meijer chip bag to nestle up to to make me feel better! So cute!

Dido the owl hat. That is adorable. How do you get G to sit so nicely next to the food. H throws it out of the cart.
