Easter Sunday!

Thursday, April 12, 2012

I love Easter, one of my favorite days of the year! Celebrating our Risen Savior, dressing up for church, yummy food, and time with family!

Sunday mornings are always a bit hectic in the Lubbers’ home and Easter Sunday was no different!

We attempted a few pics of the boys, I was pretty pleased with the turnout of their individual pictures by the front door,

but when it came time to take a picture of them together, this is what I got:

I didn’t even attempt a family photo, which I now regret!

We scurried to church, dropped Sadler off in the nursery and the rest of us made our way to our pew. Once I sat down I remembered I had forgotten to give the boys their Easter baskets! Just as good to do it once we got home, more time to play before hurrying off to church, I suppose!

We don’t do ‘the Easter bunny’ we just keep it simple with a few toys but this year I thought it would be fun to hide Gray’s basket in a corner of the house, he found it right away! I guess I don’t give him enough credit for his seeking skills!

We had a little down time at home and then we were headed to Robb’s Aunt and Uncle’s house for brunch and an Easter egg hunt with the kiddos!

another photo fail, notice both gray (khaki coat) and sadler (navy coat) looking the other way

now sadler’s looking but gray’s looking even further away ( i think he was scoping out some eggs!)

IMG_5092

now Gray’s looking but Sadler’s fallen over!

oye!

they were ready to hunt some eggs!

after dessert we headed home for nap time, and in the evening we headed to my parents house for dinner and another egg hunt!

Those group photos of the kids were cracking me up. Btw- have you done a tour of your house post yet? It looks gorgeous, would love to see more.
