Dear Christian Sister,Not sure how I happened across your blog, but it was soon after I found out an elderly friend of mine had lost a child in infancy . . . so I started reading. . . at the beginning. How wonderful it is that so many of your posts have twenty or thirty or more comments! And that they are so wonderfully supportive! On the other hand, this is the second time I've come across a photo of you holding someone else's baby, and the silence is deafening: there is not a single comment! (until this one:)So I want to say here, while I'm grateful for all those who share in your burden-bearing, I would like to tell you how grateful I am that you, despite your own sorrow, are able to share in another's joy! I'm sure it's bittersweet for you, but what a testimony it is to God's grace that you are able to share in others' joy, even through your own pain.If that is not a Christ-like love, I don't know what is. God knows what it is like to give up a son. Also, I am so glad the world has come to acknowledge the pain caused by infant loss -- what a difference from "the olden days," when the baby would have been whisked away, and never talked about, as if that would help in the healing?! So thank you for blogging and sharing. In Christian Love . . .
