our first Christmas without you,
nothing will ever be the same.
we miss you little boy.
we wish we could have read you the Christmas story, dressed you in a Christmas outfit, and helped you open your presents. We wonder what we would have given you, I know we would have spoiled you to pieces. But you have been given the best present of ALL. Enjoy your first birthday party for Jesus and don't eat too much cake! We wait for the day we get to join you. We love you so much.

Hi Katie!
Merry Christmas (late). I saw this on my friend's sister's blog that she put up. She also lost a baby boy, Samuel, and this is his second Christmas in Heaven. You might have read it already, but incase you haven't, here you go. God Bless! I'm keeping y'all in my prayers.

My First Christmas In Heaven
I see the countless Christmas trees around the world below
With tiny lights, like Heaven's stars, reflecting on the snow
The sight is so spectacular, please wipe away the tear
For I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I hear the many Christmas songs that people hold so dear
But the sounds of music can't compare with the Christmas choir up here.
I have no words to tell you, the joy their voices bring,
For it is beyond description, to hear the angels sing.

I know how much you miss me, I see the pain inside your heart
But I am not so far away, We really aren't apart.
So be happy for me, dear ones, You know I hold you dear.
And be glad I'm spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

I sent you each a special gift, from my heavenly home above.
I sent you each a memory of my undying love.
After all, love is a gift more precious than pure gold.
It was always most important in the stories Jesus told.

Please love and keep each other, as my Father said to do.
For I can't count the blessing or love he has for each of you.
So have a Merry Christmas and wipe away that tear
Remember, I am spending Christmas with Jesus Christ this year.

Hi Katie,
I discovered your blog on and friend of a friend's blog and can't get your family out of my mind these past fews days. I wanted to wish you a merry chrtistmas (as merry as it could be) and to let you know how much I admire you. Your strength is unbelieveable. I feel odd just coming on here but I wanted to contact you and let you that you and your family are in my prayers. You also have the best guardian angel ever <3

Katie,

My daughter lost a baby boy on Decemebr 18, 2004. Recently she found this wonderful quote.

"When one of your children goes out of your life, you think of what he might have done with a few more years and you wonder what you are going to do with the rest of yours.

You never really accept it; you just go through the motions.

Then one day, because there is a world to be lived in, you find yourself a part of it again, trying to accomplish something--something that he did not have time enough to do.

And, perhaps, that is the reason for it all. I hope so".

I thought you might find some meaing in it...I know I did. I still miss my grandson...I know I always will.

Take care...
Susan
