I've received a few questions regarding the necklace Sadler's been sportin’ lately.
It’s called a ‘b.altic a.mber teething necklace.
Amber is a stone known for naturally relieving pain, I had purchased the necklace (specifically designed for babies) quite awhile ago when Sadler was struggling with reflux and I did notice his fussy times become less frequent. Since then, we’ve only pulled it out a handful of times while he’s been teething until just recently. I put it on him again after his surgery and he’s been wearing it ever since. Sadler’s been much more calm and relaxed since he started wearing the necklace. Is this because of the necklace? Who knows? I could be, or it could be a due to a variety of things. Although I wouldn’t say its this huge miracle necklace and he’s suddenly the happiest baby in the world, I do think its pretty adorable on him!!
So that’s the story about the necklace! Hope that answered your questions!

Nice, my daughter started wearing hers when she was about 8 months when she was having some teething troubles. Now she's 2 and she still loves her necklace!
Caleb wore his teething, and I swear it helped. Take it all away? No, esp not with the molars, but I do sear it helped!
I think it looks tacky.
I think that's your personal opinion.
I think it looks CUTE! And obviously if you had reasons to at least try it, why not?! He's so adorable! Sorry people have to feel the news to leave short and rude comments. Love the blog Kate!
I think it looks cute! ;)
Tacky? That word would never come to mind when looking at such a cute cute little boy! Sheesh, people can be so rude. Keep up the great blogging!

Although I have my doubts that anything in amber could quiet a fussy baby, I do not doubt that putting anything around a toddler's neck is risky. I am aware that the makers of these necklaces claim that the necklace will come apart with pressure but I would not like this to be tested.
Both of my boys wear them, too! Grayden is 3.5, so it's mostly because his brother had one and he wanted one too, but Bennett wears his because of the teething and I fully believe that it helps! Adorable! =)
Obviously Sadler's safety is our top priority, he only wears it under supervision.
Katie - HUGE kuddos to you for going the natural route for one. For two, you and Robb are Sadler's parents and you know what is best for him. Motherhood is one of those tricky things where everyone seems to think they do it right and they have a right to tell others they are doing something wrong. The necklace is adorable on him! I am sorry you had to hear comments like this. Just sending you some hugs and prayers tonight, praying you don't allow Satan to put those thoughts of doubt in your mind. The pure joy and love you have for your two boys is evident in every single post. You are a great Mommy! Keep up the great work :)
He is sooo cute!!! Where can youbuy one of those??
To each thier own is what I say. Some people don't let babies be babies. Like not dressing them like they are teens or putting necklaces and such.
You can find them on etsy or amazon!
I agree, Anon, to each their own!
Thank you so much for this post! Sorry you had to deal with the negative comments.
