Christmas Eve {2013}

Thursday, December 26, 2013

It's been our tradition to have our little family party on Christmas Eve, so that's how we spent our evening this year too!

We all helped prepare dinner

And then it was time to dig in!

after dinner we read the Christmas story from the children's Bible and reminded the boys why we celebrate Christmas.

Then it was time for a few pictures in front of the tree of our 3 precious gifts!

And then present time!
In the past we've always given the boys 3 presents to unwrap from us to represent the 3 gifts Jesus received from the wise men and to keep our toy population from getting out of control. But this year we hid their 3 gifts in 3 different spots in the house and then gave them clues to find them.
They loved it! And we didn't have to wrap presents!
We've also always given Christmas pajama's to them, but they both have plenty of pj's right now we gave them slippers instead, Sadler loves his but wont wear them! Grayden has his on constantly! :)

Testing out the new remote control JD tractors!

Gray made this handprint ornament at preschool for us, I just love those homemade gifts!

Sadler showing Jovie how her new toy works!

Jovie with her loot!
 she got a couple new toys, some outfits, an a&a blanket, pacis and Christmas pj's.

Grayden & Sadler with their gifts, we got them the same things, just works better that way!

After presents the boys spent some time playing with their new things and then we enjoyed some hot chocolate.

And like every year, we ended the night reading "twas the night before Christmas"
