Butt Paste Review and Giveaway

Thursday, July 12, 2012

Diaper rashes are something Grayden rarely had and Sadler has also only had a couple, but that all changes when they were/are teething! Now I’m not sure if this is a real term or not, but both our boys have had what I call “teething diapers”. I don’t know what it is about teething but it never fails; every time Gray had a tooth come through as a baby he would have the nastiest diapers, multiple times a day, for weeks until that tooth popped through. That’s the stage we’re at right now with Sadler: the “teething diaper” days!

Poor kid is working on popping through his 1 year molars and has so many dirty diapers a day that his poor buns get wiped and wiped and wiped until they’re raw! It’s so sad to see him uncomfortable while I clean him up, but it’s not so pleasant for me either!
Just last week we were getting ready to head outside so we could spend some time in the little pool. I had just finished changing yet another dirty diaper, and I let Sadler go free (I figured he could use a little air down there for his poor buns) for a short time (like 30 seconds) while I walked with him to change him into a swim diaper. On the way to the laundry room, where we store all our swim gear, he pooped all over the floor. Apparently I changed him too soon, and he wasn’t quite done filling his pants. Biggest mess ever! Again let me tell you '’teething diapers'’ are not your typical 1 year old dirty diaper, they are nas-tee!

I learned my lesson from that ‘diaper(less) disaster’, and now I wait just a few extra minutes to change him until I’m certain he’s done! (And I make sure he is diapered 100% of the time!) I usually try to change him ASAP to avoid pesky diaper rashes and all the pain and fussiness that comes along with those. But now that I’ve had the opportunity to try out Boudreaux's Butt Paste for a few days, I have the comfort of knowing his buns are protected better than ever before, so waiting another few minutes to ensure his duty is complete isn’t going to hurt!

Original Boudreaux's Butt Paste not only treats, it also protects him from diaper rashes. It goes on really nicely and cleans off easily too. This diaper rash ointment also has a light, pleasant scent so Sadler and I both love it!

I have never tried this! But think I need too now!

My daughter also has the teething diapers, so right now she is working on Molar #2 and I have had the same problem as you. I despise diaper rash, and it's nice to have a good solution to the problem so they don't need to suffer!!!

My daughter suffers from what we call "red butt" whenever she eats chocolate. It makes her poop a lot and then she starts getting rashy.

I have a similar story to yours. My son would also have very messy diapers while cutting teeth and developed bad diaper rashes. I felt so bad for him, so one day after changing a dirty diaper, I left the diaper off of him, so he could air out a little....and it wasn't about a minute or two later and I had a huge mess to clean up! Definitely learned my lesson! :-)

I need this, times two! Our twins are both cutting their first molars..so we aren't a very happy house right now. :(

I love Boudreaux's Butt Paste. When my son was born it came highly recommended and I got a tube of it and another kind for shower gifts. I tried both types on an antibiotic cause diaper rash and the only one that seems to make a difference was the Bourdreaux's. The orginal has worked everytime but once and for that time, I tried their maximum and it cleared it right up.

We use Boudreaux's Butt Paste for each and every diaper rash in my home!! I've tried all the others, and they didn't work, nor did they smell pleasant! I love the smell of Boudreaux's Butt Paste, and it works wonders!!

i completely adore boudreaux's!!!!!! my daughter (now almost 12) got the most horrible diaper rash. she was always raw! no matter how fast i changed her and other diaper creams did not help at all. my dad is in the medical field so he went to the pharmacy and talked to his friends- they all told him the same thing so he bought a tube! OMGsh!!!! it kept her "safe"! i started giving it as baby shower gifts- giggle-giggle! fast forward 12 years and here i am with a second little darling diaper disaster (only my girls were like this?!?! go figure)and she is worse than her big sister! she blisters so badly she bleeds! it is heart breaking but i was prepared this time. boudreaux's went with me to the hospital when she was born and i use at least 2 tubes a month. i love that they have "natural" now as well as "super"! if i can keep it thick on her hiney, she stays clear. i do not even waste money on the other brands!!! and i'm giving it as a shower gifts again in day after tomorrow:)

I use this diaper rash stuff to. Love that it works, and that it doesn't have a strong scent to it. If my son has a super bad rash I combine it with Aquaphor and it clears up right away!

I love Butt Paste! I recommend it to all my first time mommy friends. My daughter also had horrible rashes when teething, sometimes it looked almost like she had been burned it was so irritated. I like Butt Paste because it isn't suffocating-ly super thick, allowing the area to breathe a little, and it smelled much nicer than the medicated smelling other stuff. Yay for Butt Paste

My son is 2 months old and we've experienced a diaper rash once. It was when he was about 3 weeks old and we started using Huggies diapers. BAD IDEA!! My little Konnor turned out to be allergic to Huggies. The rash was so bad that it was bleeding and my little guy screamed for hours in pain. Thankfully we got it cleared up by meds from the doctor because I cant seem to find a cream that I like. Destin is to thick and Vitamins A&D has a horrible smell. I would love to try out Butt Paste to save my little guy from any more pain.

How ironic! I am presently in the middle of a diaper rash war with my two-week old, and have been lathering him with Butt Paste at every turn. I love this stuff! I've tried a lot of other diaper rash creams on my other children, and this one works the best by far.

Luckily my daughter never had much of an issue with diaper rash, but we always put some form of cream on her at night, so maybe that kept it away. We have baby #2 on the way in about a month though so I will be going through all this again soon. I haven't tried this brand, but would definitely give it a shot!

I am SO thankful to be beyond the days of diaper rash! When Mackenzie was little if she sat in a dirty diaper longer than 5 minutes her butt turned red. Once she even bled b/c the rash was so bad. At one point I couldn't figure anything out so I think I bought 4 different brands at Meijer. I must admit, I LIKE the smell of Boudreaux!

I've used this stuff for all 3 of my kids - I love it! I don't know if this counts as a diaper rash story, but my oldest daughter ate half a tube of Boudreaux's once - so apparently it's as delicious as it is effective. It was sort of an embarrassing Poison Control call - "Um, my daughter ate Butt Paste" - but it didn't hurt her one bit. So add nontoxic to its list of awesome qualities.

Butt Paste, Desitin, Balmex, Burt's Bees, and A+D all did absolutely nothing for my son's painful diaper rashes. Weleda Calendula Diaper Care cleared up a serious case of red booty in less than 12 hours. I SWEAR this is the only diaper cream you will ever need. We have also used to treat sunburn, rashes, eczema, poison oak, bug bites, curling iron burns, and it works beautifully! Sorry Boudreaux, you have nothing on this stuff.
