Weekend Wrap Up

Tuesday, February 25, 2014

We got hit with nasty weather on Friday, so we just stayed in that night.

Saturday morning my mom took Sadler out for breakfast as a special treat for having no more pacis.

And then we picked him up on the way to Target to pick out a new toy to trade his paci for.

He debated on the Dre Beats but settled for a basketball ;)

At night we had a church bowling night, we took Grayden and Jovie along, and Sadler stayed with a babysitter at Peyton's house. I think they all had more fun that way ;)

Sunday morning our church had a community wide service at the high school auditorium, we didn't see that going so well with our littles so we decided to stay home and head to my Rietman family for coffee.

After Revolution at night we went to Robb's side for a birthday celebration for him and Courtney.
The boys gave Uncle Jeremy a workout when they wanted to touch the ceilings over and over again!

on another note, I've gotten a few questions in the comments lately, I'll work on answering them in the next couple days in either a separate post or a reply in the comment section, so keep a look out for those.

Insta Friday

Friday, February 21, 2014

Past two weeks of IG (I'm katiejo1122) pictures:

This outfit and blanket are both things I bought during my pregnancy with Brenham. The hat was donated to Brenham's Hat Project, but it didn't arrive in time to be delivered with the rest of them on his first birthday. I kept it all in case we ever had a girl. Feeling so blessed to have his little sister be able to use it.

2 days old vs 8 weeks old.

Grayden's picture from their field trip made it into the "Preschool Press". I hope I never have to see him in a giant Cheerio for real!

My model requested a 20 minute break during her photo shoot.

Back to work last week! The apron fit a lot better that night than it did the last time I wore it at 34 weeks pregnant!

Sadler hasn't needed a neb treatment in a long time, sadly he had some major wheezing along with his cold last week.

Playdate with Drew!

And playdate with Autumn.

Little sis is already being gifted jewelry by her big brother!

finally caught a smile on camera!

Grayden's Valentines Day treats for his classmates, get it?  Their gummy bears and teddy grahams! :)

We had a parents meeting for kindergarten last week, doesn't seem possible.

This was my Valentine's gift from Robb! I love him! He's mine, ladies ;)

Doll baby in Makenna's doll stroller!

Sunnies for my sweeties. $2.25 at Children's Place! Jovie will look like a bug in hers but I just couldn't resist!

Tiny had her 2 month check up on Tuesday, with shots :(

We took Sadler's paci away Wednesday night, quit cold turkey! I can't believe how well its gone!

I made this scarf at MOPS on Thursday! It was so fun and easy!

He's not falling asleep in bed and didn't take a nap Thursday but thats ok! I'm so happy (and a little sad! lol) to be rid of that paci!

I came home from Zumba last night and Robb had taken down Jovie's pack and play and moved her into her crib. So she spent her first night in her crib last night at 10 weeks old. She had a hard time falling asleep but once she did she did great! Lots of big changes around here lately!

Jovie is dressed for Spring today. Ironically, we are in the middle of a terrible snow/wind/ice storm. It's just awful outside. Also, notice that belly! And the tongue, oh that silly tongue!

I asked Sadler for a smile this morning. He responded "no. never." alright then, mr. attitude! I still love him so!

*and now i have mom quilt over just realizing that Grayden didn't make into many pictures on this
post :( Get ready for Grayden overload next time!

Jovie Breann, you are 2 months old

Tuesday, February 18, 2014

I just can't handle how fast this precious time is going. You are no longer my squishy newborn. That makes me sad, but I'm also so excited to watch you grow and learn new things...like SMILE!

We got our first smiles a couple weeks ago and they are just the cutest thing!

You are such a snuggly baby!

You LOVE your warm baths!

You wear mostly newborn clothes and a few 0-3 month things. And you are on your last pack of newborn diapers.

Your cries are so sad and pitiful! We usually just laugh becuase you'll quickly learn you'll have to cry a lot louder than that to be heard in this house.

We started letting you sleep through the night at 6 weeks, before then we'd wake you up to eat between 2-3am. Now you go down drowsy after your 10pm bottle, and put yourself to sleep. Daddy wakes you up at 6am to feed you before he leaves for work.

Your brothers still adore you, your newness in our family hasn't worn off to them yet like I thought it might. They fight over holding you. And recently Grayden told you he loves you more than Craigs Cruisers, Chuck E. Cheese and Crazy Bounce! That's a ton of love for a 4 year old!

You're not the biggest fan of your swing or bouncy seat, you'd much prefer to be held!

At your appointment today you weighed 8 lbs 3 oz, 21" long, not even on the charts. My little itty bitty.

You love to sleep! You usually take a big nap between your 10am and 2pm feedings and little cat naps the rest of the day.

You have discovered your tongue recently and you keep it very busy!

You eat 3-4oz every 4 hours during the day.

The play mat is pretty boring to you.

We love you sweet girl, more than you will ever know!

{Weekend Wrap Up}

Monday, February 17, 2014

Friday (Valentines Day) night we went on a fun family date to Crazy Bounce. Grayden has been begging to go there for MONTHS, we promised him we'd to go when he started to stay dry through the night, but we' been holding off because I'm a germ-a-phobe, and its been so busy there lately. Valentines Day night seemed like the perfect time to go.
The boys had a BLAST!  And we did too ;)

SO fun!

Saturday Robb and I went out on a day date while the kids played by Aunt Lisa's house!
We had a yummy lunch at CityVu and ran a few errands!

At night we celebrated with Makenna at her 3rd birthday party!

Sunday we went to church, Robb had deacon duty so those mornings are always a little hectic. This week was a train wreck!
In the afternoon we went to my mom and dad to play outside, it was a beautiful winter day.

At night we went to the Revolution Service and then to Robb's parents house to visit with them and hear about the trip they just got back from.
