Boys' Race Car Birthday Party

Wednesday, April 30, 2014

We had the boys' birthday party this past Sunday afternoon.

This was their invite, I thought it turned out very cute!

The food spread, I kinda went with a concession stand theme for the food.

That's a race car hood in the background that we borrowed from my dad. The centerpiece was from a Nascar race that my parents went to when they stayed in a suite, that was about as far as I went with decorations this year.

the birthday boys before opening their gifts

The boys got lots of great gifts. From us Grayden got a new Lego set and Sadler got his own bike! They also received their own personalized luggage, scooters, rain boots, clothes, an art set, kites, and lots of games.

We always ask the boys to put on a little performance for their guests at parties, we were hoping Grayden would tell us a Bible story (he does so good for us) but he got a little stage fright and sang "Go Tell it on the Mountain" instead :)

The awesome cupcakes made by my friend Angie! Such a hit!

The boys had a great time and we loved celebrating their birthdays!

Sadler Graham, you are 3 years old!

Monday, April 28, 2014

Oh buddy, where do I even begin with you!?  It's hard to put into words how we feel about you; you are a quite a handful, and such a sweetie at the same time! We just love you to pieces and are so thankful to have you as a part of our family. We are so proud of the little boy you are becoming.
You are SO stinkin' CUTE! You get so many compliments from people on how handsome you are! Mommy is jealous of your perfect skin, your BIG brown eyes and oh, that hair! Love!

I love to hear you talk, your sweet little voice always makes me smile.

You are determined and stubborn and don't give up very easily.

You love Paw Patrol, Team UmiZoomi and Cars movies but prefer 'shows' over movies.

You love 'blue cookies' (oreos), pizza, cheese broccoli soup, smoothies and ask for water 10 times a day!

You have been paci free for a couple months, such a huge celebration! You adored that thing!

You are not quite potty trained, but we're getting there! Your first day in big boy undies you didn't have one accident, even stayed dry during your nap!

You copy everything Grayden says or does.

You  love your little sister but can be a little rough with her.

You love playing with cars and trucks, anything with wheels/moves.

You ask to go to Grandma's house at least once a day.

You recognize numbers 1-9,  say your abc's, and can count to 13.

You are busy and always moving.

We are looking forward to watching you continue to grow and learn this coming year!
We love you like crazy,
Mom and Dad, Grayden and Jovie

Oh, sweet girlie! You are such a joy to have in our family! We had another amazing month watching you grow, we are so blessed to have you!
You went on your first flight this month, you did SO good!

We took you on our first family vacation, a Disney cruise, you were the youngest sailor aboard!

You are never lacking attention :) Your brothers just ADORE you!

You are a great sleeper, we rarely hear a peep from you all night long! We are so thankful for that!

You eat 5-6oz, 5 times a day

the car seat isn't your favorite, especially when you are tired!

you love baths!

you love to snuggle!

You wear 3 months clothes and size 1 diapers.

you went through a little phase this month where you were scared of other people.

You weight 10lbs 10oz at your check up. Still not on the charts but you gained really well this past month! Yah!

you've rolled over a few times, from belly to back, I think always on accident!

You have the best giggles!

We love you Jovie! We thank God for bringing you to our family.

Easter {2014}

Monday, April 21, 2014

I just love Easter Sunday! I'd missed the last 2 weeks of church to stay home with coughing kiddos, so I was so thankful everyone was doing better and we were all able to start the morning off with worshiping our Risen Lord! It was beautiful day!

After church we gave the kids their Easter baskets, the boys got goggles, drinking cups, magic marker pads, ScoobyDo mouth wash (he begged!) and m&ms. Jovie got a baby be Blessed doll and bib.

We headed to Robb's Aunt and Uncle's house for lunch, as always everything was so delicious!

hunting for eggs

In the evening we went to my parents house for dinner and another egg hunt!
Cousins!
Sadler, being a 3 year old, didn't want to sit next to Gray!

even Jovie got to hunt for eggs!

Such a fun night!

Sadler's Birthday!

Saturday was Sadler's 3rd birthday. Our birthday tradition is celebrate by going out to breakfast. This time we decided to take just Sadler out instead of the whole family coming, so we could give him our undivided attention on his special day! Turns out that he would have rather had Grayden along, he asked to go pick him up about 15 times that morning, but it was a nice thought :)

We went to the Farmhouse for breakfast. Sadler loved his pancakes!

After breakfast we went to the 'day of the young child' expo.
it was our first time going and we had lots of fun checking out all the cool stuff!

We grabbed some fro-yo and then went to Aunt Lisa's house to pick up Grayden, (and Jovie) like he wanted!

 We loved celebrating with him!
