Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers over this past week as we journeyed through this 21st week of pregnancy and remembered the day Brenham joined our lives at 21w4d.

Insta Friday

Our week in instagram pics (Im katiejo1122 if you want to follow)

Sadler thought he needed a bath while playing with the water table, before I knew it, he stripped himself down!

Robb and I went on a date Friday night, we made a goal to try for one date every month before the baby comes!

Father-Son bonding over waxing the van!

Sleepy boy Saturday night! I just loved snuggling him while he slept!

Sadler took his first ride on the tube on Sunday! He liked it, but was actually kinda bored and would have loved a wilder ride, but Gray likes to go nice and slow! The second the boat accelerates, he notices!

Tuesday I had my first appointment with my nephrologist since becoming pregnant, I was thankful to hear that my kidney is doing great! Praise God.
Tuesday marked 21w4d, the same gestation Brenham was born, it was a nice milestone to reach.

Thursday was a HOT one so instead of a play date at the park we met up with our friends at Deanna's Playhouse where it was nice and cool!
They had a great time!

Last night we finally had the chance to head downtown to the last week of street performers.

Gray is a future break dancer I think! He got quite the attention while he was mimicking the dancers!

Have a fun and safe holiday weekend!

Boulder Ridge Animal Park

We made a last minute decision last Saturday to take the boys to the zoo, it's kinda been tradition to go to a zoo every Summer, and we realized our time to do so was ticking away as Summer comes to a close.
We headed out around 11, but made a quick stop at our small town airport to watch some planes fly in from an event they had going on.
The boys LOVED that, we were worried the new zoo we were going to check out wouldn't quite live up the airplanes, but we were wrong! The Boulder Ridge Animal Park was awesome!

We took a safari to see the African animals, Gray was really happy to see a wildebeest, he was hoping they were at this zoo!

Feeding the birds:

Sadler is not a bird fan!

The giraffes were their favorite!

Having Fun at the Hudsonville Fair

Monday, August 26, 2013

We headed to the Hudsonville Fair Wednesday night to watch the Tractor pulls, funny thing is, I never stepped foot in the grand stands! Not really my thing to watch loud tractors see how far they can pull such and such weight... ;)

Grayden and Sadler had fun watching the tractors with daddy and grandpa for awhile, but then met up with my mom and I to see some farm animals!
Sadler was so excited to find the cows!

Grayden loved the goats!

Before we left the boys got to choose one ride, Grayden loved this truck track last year so it was an easy choice!

{bUmPDATE} end of week 20!

Saturday, August 24, 2013

Super thankful to have been given a good report on our big 20 week ultrasound this past week. Although we've had several ultrasounds already checking on the baby's growth, this was the most extensive one where the tech goes over everything and looks for any abnormalities or birth defects, so I was a little nervous for it. The baby is looking healthy and developing right on track! Praise God! The baby's gender is unknown, we can't wait to be surprised come delivery day!

As I head into this 21st week of pregnancy, Brenham has been on my mind a lot as I delivered him at 21 weeks 4 days.  I'm not as worried about reaching that point in gestation as I thought I would be, I feel at peace about making it through that day with our sweet baby still safe and sound inside.  However, I do know it will be a day full of emotions and appreciate your prayers as we remember him and the tragic events of that day.

Insta Friday

Gray loved feeling the baby moving one morning while he laid with me in bed watching cartoons! His face just lit up every time he felt a kick!

The worst part of camping, SO much laundry!

Gray about to head out for his last night of VBS, he loved it!

he's so sweet!

Grayden had a dentist appointment last week, his second one.

Sadly, we had to go back the next day for a filling but at least I got to enjoy a second cup of their delicious chai lattes!

Sadler fell asleep one night right outside our bedroom door! We had no idea he was there until we went to check on the boys before we went to sleep!

Home cooked food hasn't been a fave of mine during this pregnancy, so I had to document one of the few meals I've made in the past few months.
Spinach Lasagna Rolls (recipe found here)

Ready for the oven

Picture a side of cantaloupe on the plate that Robb always has to cut up, I can't stand the slimy texture, but love the taste!

Yum! The boys inhaled it!

Please tell me you talk with your hands too?! lol
Makenna's first haircut!

This is how the Lubbers wash the windows, power washer!

Picking out school supplies for the backpack drive

Prepping for our back to school bash!

Comforting words as we headed into our BIG 20-week ultrasound on Thursday with a little anxiety.

Munching on some cotton candy on the way to the ultrasound, trying to wake baby up!

We celebrated the news of a healthy baby(!!!) by a family movie night to see Planes!

This was Sadler's very first movie in a theater and he did great!

Have a great weekend!
