"The Miracle Men"
Dr. Carl Muthu, Dr. Thomas Schwab, Dr Mikel Prieto (surgeon)

Katie is doing good. She got to talk to Mindy on the phone this morning for the first time since before transplant. The doctor and his team came in this morning and were very impressed at Katie's condition. They said that she has the smallest incision that they have ever preformed on an adult. Several of them have told us this so it must be true and not just a feel good line :) Things are looking great and we are very excited with how things are going. Her creatin level entering surgery was 11.7 and now it is 5.1 and dropping Hooray God is absolutely amazing!! Thanks for all of the prayers and support. Katie read all of the comments early this morning at 2:30 when she woke up. Thanks again. We will post later today with more updates.

You are an inspiration to me and my family. You have been through so much but still always have such a positive attitude. There are so many couples out here who have gone through a tragedy of losing a child or not being able to have children so please know you give us hope and courage and make us see to be greatful for every minute of every day and how precious life is. I am so greatful you have shared your journey with total strangers; you have given me so much hope when I needed it. I am sorry for your loss and your struggles but God put you on this earth to show us all how life should be lived.I hope you have a very speedy recovery by the upadte it looks like you are fast on your way. Your sister is so special for giving you her kidney- that truly is unconditional love! All our prayers and thoughts are with you as you recover.

Robb & Katie,
My heart is so full of love and compassion for you both right now that I don't even know where to begin this message - and I know that it is not going to convey in words what I am feeling in my heart right now. I heard about your surgery on WJQ this morning, and was drawn to find out more about you. I went to your blog and read your entire story. Words cannot express how deeply moved I am by you both. You are obviously very faithful to our wonderful Lord and Savior, and it is making satan mad! Please know that you are an inspiration to all who come to hear your story. We will probably never meet here on this earth, but I am sending you hugs and prayers. Love to you my brother and sister in Christ and praying for a quick and complete healing for you and Mindy.
Blessings,
Barb
