{Mississippi Trip}

Monday, July 2, 2018

We took a little trip with the family (for business) to Mississippi June 10-14.

We had a flight out of GR bright and early Sunday morning.

She's a heavy packer!

ready for take-off!

We made it!

We had a shuttle service pick us up at the airport and take us to the hotel.
We stayed at the Beau Rivage Resort.

Everyone was so excited to swim and have lunch by the pool, so it was a major disappointment to see this sign when we headed down to the pool, especially when it was bright and sunny out! Little did we know how many other times we'd see that sign, or get kicked out of the pool over the next few day! Ugh!

At this point it was 3:00 and we hadn't had lunch or much for breakfast either, so we walked to the nearest restaurant to eat and wait out the "storm"

At long last, swimming with Grandma and Grandpa

We swam til our hearts content until about 7pm when we got changed and headed for a walk to get a little dessert!

The next morning (Monday) we walked to Waffle House for breakfast!

And back to the pool (you'll quickly notice a theme here for our MS trip, eating and pool time! ha)

We also had some business to do on the patio overlooking the ocean, since it was a "business trip" after all- family meeting in the sun is my kinda meeting! :)

the kids kept themselves entertained pretty well ;)

poolside lunch is served....

...and then they closed the pool again so we had to pack the food up and leave the pool grounds completely. We walked to the front of the hotel (where I got in trouble for wearing my bathing suit in the lobby, seriously!?) and sat on the front sidewalk and at there instead.
 What a joke!

It did eventually open again and we spent the rest of the afternoon relaxing and trying to stay cool! It what HOT!

Mindy and I keeping tabs on social media ;)

For dinner we went to a seafood restaurant, McElroy's, right on the water

One thing I always want to remember about Grayden on this trip was his adventurous eating habits! He didn't want kids meals anymore, and he wanted to try new foods that he hasn't had before like crab cakes, sweet tea and biscuits and gravy. He's totally my boy when it comes to eating on vacation! Totally embracing Southern style food!

Later Monday evening the guys had a reception to attend,

The kids playing cards with Grandma in her room

Tuesday the guys were off to go deep sea-fishing, and us ladies had deep-tissue massages!
But first we grabbed breakfast and had some pool time with the kids.

Sadler's dream come true!

Sadler and Ella swimming

We had a cabana rented which was so fun for the kids, and me too :)

Then it was spa time! It was so amazing! I've never been to a spa like that!

Relaxing chairs to look out over the pool while you wait for your appointmemt.
They had trail mix, apples, fruit infused water, juices and tea to enjoy too!

After my amazing massage, Lisa and I went into the steam room, sauna and plunge pools.
They even had showers and a huge vanity area to get ready in.

They also had this awesome yoga room with a monitor to choose video workouts from, and then it played on the tv screen. It was super cool.
I didn't want to leave!

Enjoying a late lunch by that pool after the spa.
 I felt so spoiled!

The guys had a great, successful fishing trip!

Their boat coming in the channel!

Tuesday night we had dinner in the hotel restaurant.
I had some of the best salmon ever!

And then we saw the circus show in the resort, it was amazing!

Wednesday breakfast in the hotel restaurant with the whole crew.

Back to the pool!

loving life with mini bottles of pop!

Disney TV in the shade when you need a swim break!

Wednesday night the guys had a customer event, so the ladies and kids just hung out a bit and went to bed early for our 5 am wake up call the next morning to head back home!

That's a wrap!
Thanks mom and dad for a fun trip!
