My family and I have been vacationing at my parents cottage since Saturday. We've been having a great time relaxing and enjoying our time here. I have lots of pictures to post at the end of the week but until then I don't want to leave the blog completely abandoned so I was thinking it was time for another "get to know you post" like I did last year!! I had so much fun reading your replies and finding things in common with you!

you wake up at 10:00! this is your half cry, half smile face!

you have breakfast; milk, cheerios and toast with strawberry jam.

while mom tackles the overflowing sink full of dirty dishes

we get you dressed, you wear your “Brenham's little brother” shirt in remembrance of his due date today.

you spent some time playing until Aunt Lisa came over with your friends, Collin and Leah, to bring us all lunch

you had a turkey sandwich, grapes and strawberries from Cafe 58.
After Lunch we head out to the deck to play in your pool and water table!


after 20 minutes the big kids had enough of that so we went to bigger and better things, the bigger pool next door at the neighbors!



you were getting really tired so we headed home at 2:00 and you went right down for a nap!

You slept until 5:15!

After you woke up you insisted on a snack, even though dinner would be ready in 20 minutes. Sad boy couldn’t understand why mommy wanted you to wait,

you had some Kix to hold you over and you were a happy boy again!

Daddy came home at 5:30 and we had dinner, fresh salad, chips and dip and chicken crescent squares

after dinner we all went back outside to play for a little bit


(Apparently Pacey was thirsty! haha!)

at 7:00 mom had to head out to church for a meeting so it was just you and dad!
I told dad to keep taking pictures and I loved coming home to see what you all did!

8:00 you got ready for bed! Change into jammies and get some milky!

daddy reads you a book!

and tucks you in bed around 8:30!

Couple things to note!
Yes, he really does eat all.day.long!
And yes, he does have a lot of outfit changes during the day, he is a drool monster and so he soaks through lots of shirts! Plus its a good way to cycle through all his clothes!
Yes, I do have a great husband! love you babe!

We had such a great weekend celebrating the 4th of July! Starting Friday night we headed out to the lake and spent the whole weekend at the cottage, relaxing and enjoying the great weather.

Saturday was the town’s parade so we went for breakfast and joined the other 50 people and watched all 5 minutes of it! ;)

On Sunday we had some extended family members out to visit in the afternoon.

We had lots of fun in the sun!

We watched a fireworks show in the middle of the lake while sitting on the boat!

Grayden was really sleepy but he loved the fireworks!

Monday we spent most of the day in the water, we tied up the boat at the sand bar and floated around on tubes!

Pacey jumped off the tube to go for a swim!

Grayden's 'new thing' is to fake laugh with his hand over his mouth, wonder where he got that from?! I think its simply precious!
I realized I took the video sideways so I took another one but wanted to post them both! I love when he says 'hi' to the dog!



haha! what a stinker, totally ignoring mom already! My fake laugh isn't nearly as cute, i realize!

After we left the zoo we grabbed some dinner and headed out to 5/3 Ball Park to see the West Michigan Whitecaps game!
This was Grayden’s second time seeing them play, last year he was just a little thing

and this year he’s so much more mobile so we got ourselves some lawn seats so he could move around a little! That worked out really well!

I was asked to participate in one of the games they do during the innings and won chocolate graham crackers for our whole section! Super exciting :)

robb took a video of me playing the price is right game (i’m just to the right of the sun streak!)

While we waited until it was time for me to go out on the field we got to wait in the dugout and get up close to the players which was pretty cool! Grayden was hamming it up for everyone, showing off his muscles and giving high-fives!

The best part was while we were standing in the dugout the 1st base coach threw us a game ball!!

It got to be way past Grayden’s bedtime by the time the game was done but he did great and we are so glad we planned such a fun day to make so many memories together!
