Robb flew to Utah for training Tuesday night and sent me this text, he thinks he’s so hilarious!

Thursday:

spent the morning watching Peyton, she’s so sweet!

He rarely sleeps in bed but it still shocks me to see him laying there on the floor!

keeping a close eye on Robb's flight home, so excited when he was finally home {at 1am}!

Friday:

Gray’s first day without me at school so Sadler and I headed to the library, just the two of us.

Sadler’s idea of fun at the library…running! Who would want to look through books when there’s all this room to run?!

Friday night, after a long day of shopping, we had a low key dinner at Gandolfo’s deli and rented a redbox movie! Seriously, I think we have an addiction to redbox! ha!

We just had a relaxing night at home!

Saturday Robb went into work for a little bit and mowed the lawn while I cleaned the house.

At night we went to Kobe grill with a bunch of friends for dinner

then we all went back to our house for a wii bowling tournament! Aren’t we dorky? By luck, Robb and I ended up winning, but we truly got lucky! Better luck next time Flokstras :)

Sunday we went to church and took a family bike ride

another fun filled weekend!

on another note, could you please pray for Max?  He’s the 3  year old son of my friend’s friends, Kate and Mark [:)] Max is in surgery right now having a complete liver transplant. In March he was diagnosed with stage 3 liver cancer. Since the diagnoses he has been having chemo. He is not responding to the chemo so a liver transplant is the only way to save his life. This sweet little boy has had nothing but an up hill battle his whole life. He is a twin born at 24 weeks. They got the call last night around 9:30 pm from the transplant team to say they had a liver for Max!! They traveled 3 hours to Ann Arbor Michigan to Mott's children's hospital where they started surgery at 5 AM today, they are expecting it to take about 8 hours.

Please pray for the surgeons as they work on Max and for his new liver to start working right away!

Such an exciting day today! We’ve been waiting months for this day, Grayden’s first day of school! The fact that its also my birthday today {27} has kinda been overshadowed, but that’s totally fine, Gray only has 1 first day of school and I’ve had lots of birthdays, which get less and less exciting as I get older :)







His first day was a little different that most days, he only went for the second half of his morning class and parents got to join their kids in class today.
Robb took the day off today so we co-celebrated my birthday and Gray’s first day by going to the Cafe for breakfast.

After breakfast we played at the park for a few minutes until Grandma came to pick Sadler up, he gave him a kiss goodbye, and then the 3 of us walked to school!

He goes again on Friday, without mom or dad, so we’re hoping it goes just as well then too!
Grayden, I can’t believe you had your first day of school today, what a BIG boy you are! Mommy is so proud of, you are eager to learn, already memorizing your memory verse before school even started! You are so brave, you didn’t have a second of doubt and walked right in your classroom with me a few steps behind you. You followed directions like a pro. You were friendly and introduced yourself to new friends.
I pray you have a great year at three school, and that Jesus shines in you everyday! Be kind and loving to your friends, and listen to the teacher, know that your dad and I love you so much, and Sadler will miss you so much while you’re gone. Have fun!

robb and i had a parent meeting for gray’s school, he’s going to have so much fun!

Wednesday

gray spent the day at his ‘back to school party’ at the cottage that Aunt Lisa threw him

he had so much fun on his treasure hunt for school supplies!

Thursday

sadler had a rough time when i gave him water and apparently he was hoping for milk! what a temper he has!

after a 5 minute fit he calmed down

and enjoyed his water! i was not gonna give in!

food spread at the my 31 party, my how they have changed from chips and dip in the past, to hummus and veggies now! just as yummy though!

friday

finally got my stitches out after 2 long weeks

and lisa and spent the day shopping for clothes to fit our new, smaller bods! thanks grandma L for watching the boys!

i had to get a little advice from my insta friends while shopping!

this (the dress) is not something I would normally pick out but I wanted something different and at $13 I couldn’t pass it up!

don't worry, i plan to wear leggings or skinnies with it, unless robb and i are on a hot date :)
