I am so happy for all of you- Mindy that you can give such a precious gift, and Katie that you are able to receive it from somebody so close. Kristen and I are praying for a successful surgery, quick recovery, and a new start. We are praying for a much smoother road ahead, and more good news to come. Thanks for continuing to update this page. It's been awhile since we have seen or talked, so it's nice to have some sort of contact! I came across your blog through the nest. I wanted to tell you how much I admire you and thank you for sharing your story and your faith even during your darkest times. I will be praying for you daily as you await and following your transplant. My husband has a genetic kidney disease - polycystic kidney disease. 1.5 years ago, his father (who also has the disease) received a kidney from my husband's mother. It was successful and he continues to do well. I'll pray for a speedy recovery that you will feel MUCH better after your transplant! God Bless you!

I have been following your blog for quite some time. You and your husband are an inspiration. Your faith in the Lord is awesome.
A smile spread across my face when I saw that not only is the transplant on, but that it is on the 8th. My brother had a bone marrow transplant 17 years ago this Oct. 8th. Today you'd never know there was anything ever unhealthy about him. My prayers will be with you next Wednesday.
